Re: Is a federation of nations or a world government possible?
Right now? Absolutely not. In the future? Definitely possible. I think it'll be a great question to seriously think about during the 22nd century. Humanity could be very different by that point. A constitution could be written and agreed to by all 200+ nations. I'd hope with the goals of peace, work...

Re: Would you vote for Bill Gates for President?
Not sure. Maybe.
He's pretty high up on the billionaire tier list IMO, but that's a low bar.
He'd probably make a better candidate than 95-99% of Republican politicians, and plenty of Democrats.

Re: The Far Future of Space Travel and Humanity
AlexBoostani, welcome to the forum. I'm sorry that the first response to your first post was from the forum's resident wet blanket. He's a broken record who always says everything is getting worse, and he always argues with anyone who shows optimism about the future. Yeah, look, I generally don't a...

Re: Kanye West
I'm just now learning about all this antisemitism stuff. Priceless. But also kind of tragic.
Sometimes, you may feel like a failure, or an idiot, or a screw-up. But at least you're not present-day Kanye West.

Re: 2024 Presidential election
He'll be poison for the Republican party in that election. Most signs seem to point to him falling out of favor pretty hard. Either he'll win the nomination and lose, or he'll do what caltrek suggested above and run third-party, stealing a pile of votes from the actual nominee. That's if he manages ...

Re: How are longevity predictions tracking?
Thank you for the advice.
It's sounding like my personal prospects are pretty good, though I should consider a few lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of dying too early.

Re: Longevity, Fitness, Diet, and wellbeing
It took nearly two years, but I finally reached my weight loss goal. I'm now the ideal weight for my height. Yesterday I measured 74.6 kg, which is 164 lbs, or about 11.7 stone. Having worked incredibly hard on this, my advice for anyone who wants to lose weight: Keep a spreadsheet of your weight, ...

Re: Should we eliminate childhood?
Even though it passed more than a year, I am asking myself and this world, where could we arrive if not passing through childhood? It is too rude to fall promptly and directly into many adult responsibilities. Bot. Err, what?? I'm a real guy Stop! He who posts on Future Timeline forum, must answer ...

Re: Detroit: Become Human
Just finished this game a few days back. Really interesting. I would say I enjoyed it overall, but there are some issues. (Spoilers below) MythOfProgress highlighted most of the significant writing issues. I felt some of these let the game down. The twist with Alice was a bit of a bizarre choice. I ...
