“Doomsday” Comet Elenin had passed: No Apocalypse After All

Some people panicked when soothsayers predicted that the approach of Comet Elenin would trigger catastrophic earthquakes and tsunamis, or worse, suggesting that Elenin was not a comet but a rogue planet called Nibiru that would usher in the Apocalypse.

The comet "made its closest flyby of our planet at 22 million miles and broke up into pieces"... It "zipped by" us at a distance slightly closer than the distance that Venus comes to Earth at it's closest approach... The things that people freak out about give me the sad giggles.

Dude my forums that I follow for "breaking Conspiracy news" everyday it was littered with half of the new posts being about this comet. I never got on that bandwagon. I usually don't like end of the world scenarios. That doesn't mean I don't follow them and study them. I am waiting on 2012 though, the craziness that could come on that day might just throw the world into anarchy, if it isn't already by then. We only need one more thing to push this society to the brink.

I know its a dumbass consipiracy theory just like 9/11 being faked or Bush invading Iraq for Oil. The Republicans were just shooting themselves in the foot for endorsing such crap.

I personally don't know if Trump is really a birther or not but he did manage to get Obama to release his birth certificate. I can bet you anything that without Trump , Obama would have released it next year around now. That would have KILLED the Republicans and sway many indepedants and ensuring his re-election.

That sounds like a bit of a conspiracy theory in and of itself. You're suggesting that Obama planned to withhold his birth certificate until shortly before election day in 2012 just to stoke the birthers' fire, only to reveal in the end that he was born in Hawaii just as he had been saying all along, just to make the Republicans look bad? That'd be a hell of a play, but wouldn't the (now ex-) birthers just turn right around and cry foul that he had been withholding it until then as a massive campaign stunt several years in the making?

Well its politics, it would be a logical choice to do that. If I were Obama I would do that as well. I also wouldn't worry about what the birthers say. At the momement, it is proven that they lost credibality and accusing the president of being a Kenyan. Well when Obama released his certificate, he got apporval boost and the Republican Party lost approval. It may sound like a conspiracy but it will work.

When the birth certificate was released, there were birthers finding faults of the White House document, but it didn't do anything and the birther movement has died off. You have to admit that the birther non-sense would give Obama an advantage.
