It's an interesting and useful idea, though I'd say to some extent, sites like archive.org are already on track with this, given the internet is constantly changing and sites coming up, going down, pages being updated and content being lost, there'll never really be a snapshot of each and every year that goes by online because nothing is static. You'd think we'll leave behind better records than any generation before us, but will we, are they as permanent as they used to be?
