Nah, we're not Twitter/Google/Facebook.

I think it only makes sense if those huge sites, that generate great traffic really matter. I support news sites, social networks and stuff like that going dark. I don't think FutureTimeline will be noticed by anyone but our small community.

I bet there are a lot of small communities having this discussion. If as much of the internet as possible goes dark, then there's a larger chance of it having an impact.

Just so that I'm understood - I don't think there's need for it, but I'm not against it.

I think that the site should blackout on Jan 18th and protest about SOPA and PIPA because the site should be out there with Twitter, Facebook etc.

It's dangerous to be right, when your government is wrong.
They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Off topic, but since we're passed the blackout, How big is futuretimeline.net? The poles usually get about 2k votes each time and the site is not small; its pretty damn lengthy. Anyone know how much traffic the site averages per week or per month?
It's all a game of chance.

This doesn't include forum traffic, just the main site.
