Well I wonder if you'd notice if it was a photo with realistic background, and you had no knowledge that it may be CGI. Many people love to declare "crappy CGI" when it's just because they know it is CGI.

No. It just doesn't resemble real skin quite yet. It looks too creamy, like the way people look when they get photoshopped for magazines.

It probably would fool most people if they didn't know it was fake beforehand. Give it a year or 18 months and you might no be able to tell the difference... scary thought.

That was amazing. I think we might be drawing close to the end of advancing CG. Where do we go once the human form can be perfectly modeled using computers? (We go to virtual reality and have sexy parties, that's where)

I find it amazing that you'd expect image, as harder medium to fool, to be behind sound, yet we can make photoreal images, but we use actors to record voices. Isn't that strange?
