Hello, my name is Alan.  I have been visiting Future Timeline for a while now and have been reading the forums for a while, but i finally decided to make an account.  I was attracted here because i like future tech and medicine.  I am a freshman in High School and am pretty young for the age group here.  I am also not the best debater, but i enjoy it nonetheless.  I am a capitalist and pretty liberal, at least socially.  I am a fiscal conservative.  I may or may not be a Christian, i am still working that out.  I hope i will enjoy debating and sharing news and information here for a long time to come.

Welcome rennerpetey to Futuretimeline and the Alpha quadrant :derisive:

“One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don't throw it away.”

Welcome to the forum. Metaphorically speaking, it is always good to see a new face participating in the enjoyment.  I hope you find your time here educational, informative, and above all fun.

The principles of justice define an appropriate path between dogmatism and intolerance on the one side, and a reductionism which regards religion and morality as mere preferences on the other.   - John Rawls

Hi there and a delayed welcome from me too.

Playing God is actually the highest expression of human nature. The urges to improve ourselves, to master our environment, [...] have been the fundamental driving forces of all of human history. Without these urges to ‘play God’, the world as we know it wouldn’t exist today.” - Ramez Naam
