Muslims Install Prayer Room in Hospital, Staff Horrified By What's Inside

Dom's got untempered views of Islam and political islamism throughout the world. Makes effort to backup her claims with references to scripture and precedent where possible.

Also, the article states that the prophet Muhammad modeled the Quran "violently".  That is a horrible injustice to Muslims.  The Quran is the work of one who quite clearly values an orderly society.  For that reason, there are statements in the Quran that Christians who were pacifists should be tread with respect and in a peaceful manner.  To say that the Quran was modeled "violently" is only true if one also believes that all Christians are violent.  Somethng that the prophet himself did not believe.  Like many other philosophies of the modern era, the Quran defends the right to self-defense.  To act as if that makes it "modeled violently" is a gross act of irresponsible propaganda.

The thing about people pointing out the problematic references in the Qur'an, and in islamic teachings in general is that in most of the western world Christianity is the most common religion, and the bible (the basis of the christian religion) is full of sick stuff like this:

Exodus 35:2 – " For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death."
So we can expect any true christian to murder anyone working on a Sunday.

Deuteronomy 17:12 - "Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the Lord your God must die."

Kill the unbelievers!

Deuteronomy 13:6-11 - "If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Kill the unbelievers even if they are your friends and family!

Deuteronomy 20:10-15 – When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. When the LORD your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the LORD your God gives you from your enemies. This is how you are to treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby.

Attack and, if they resist, destroy (or enslave and rape) anyone who dares to live somewhere that is not close to where you live.

Matthew 5:17-19 – "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

and finally, Because a lot of people say that the old testament doesn't count here is Jesus (in the new testament) saying it does.

That's not even starting on things like attitudes to women, slavery etc.

Of course most Christians are good people, and modern Christianity is a religion of peace, love and understanding to most of it's adherents. Encouraging generosity and forgiveness, and the bible is full of good advice and positive messages but that sick shit is still in their holy book, they won't remove them, that would be sacrilege. so people just ignore them and go on doing what they were going to do anyway.

In the same way, moderate Muslims will tell you that they and everyone they know, all consider the barbaric parts of the religion to be a response to early persecution and not applicable to modern life. (or not applicable for some other reason) and go on being decent people.

So sure, ban Muslims from entering from your country, but ban Christians too, and any other religion with any sick crap in their holy book.

While you're at it why not force everyone to register their religious beliefs with the government in writing and if anything in it is illegal by the laws of your country then they can be deported.

first of all: You mean "conservatism", and secondly no it doesn't.

The rest is actually counter to what we've seen with who in Europe have given up their former lives to fight for ISIS. Education and wealth not only don't prevent someone from 'radicalising', but it seems to facilitate it. That's because radicalism isn't some mental health disorder or protest against low standards of living like it's made out to be. It's a global and historical movement which inspires men and women to fight for what they believe is right and just.

In other words, ideology.

It was ideology (no matter how much lipstick they put on the pig on that one) that led to the American invasion of Iraq which ultimately sowed the seeds for the emergence of ISIS.

Ideology is the root of all conflicts. If it was because of religion, it was the ideology behind it. If it was because of money, it was the ideology behind it. If it was because of nationalism, it was the ideology behind it, and so forth.

Ironically, it will be ideology that will give us a post-scarcity world or one in which most people will rather live in.

I may need you to go a little deeper into what you mean by ideology then because some of these are sweeping statements which I don't believe are explainable by what I'd consider ideology.

Gunmen in Egypt Force Coptic Christian Pilgrims From Buses and Kill 28

CAIRO — Dressed in military fatigues, the gunmen waved down the bus filled with Christian pilgrims as it wended its way down a dusty side-road in the desert of western Egypt, headed toward a monastery.

Claiming to be security officers, the gunmen ordered the passengers to get out. They separated the men from the women and children, and instructed them to surrender their mobile phones. They told the men to recite the shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith.

When the men refused, the gunmen opened fire.

Chilling ISIS video calls for 'all out war' on West with attacks in 'homes, markets and roads' during Ramadan

A chilling ISIS video message has called for an "all out war" on the West with attacks in "homes, markets and roads" during Ramadan.
The message, released as the Muslim holy month begins, comes four days after 22 people were killed in the Manchester Arena bombing.
Seven kids were among those who died in Monday night's attack, carried out by a British-born terrorist with "proven" links to the Islamic State.

As long as we can strike back.
