I think I Robot will kind off be like our future but not with that many Robots but we may have robots to help with such things like delivering parcels for Fedex etc.

I want to go ahead of Father Time with a scythe of my own.

I'd love that to be reality someday.Robotics is evolving quickly,so would be very interesting another race conviving along with humans. In the other hand, robots will take most of human jobs and unemployment will soar... :rabbi:

Something tells me it's never going to look exactly like iRobot for the simple reason that the story exists in the first place. To much cultural insecurity about a society like that, at least for the time being. Further in the future when people are more comfortable with AI, yeah, absolutely possible.

I'm sure when I saw the film it was the lieutenant that said the line 'I'm gonna miss the good old days, when people were killed by other people' not Will Smith...

Aside from this, I think these sorts of films always miss out on the virtual reality side of things which I think will inevitably dominate by the time robots of this sophistication appear. There is still a romanticism in sci fi for having more mechanical ideologies of the future, where humans remain the same with no or little alteration of the mind and body (stil age) and are surrounded by robots and high-tech space ships.
