Luckily for me, I am also a Canadian and have a family up there.

In case things get messy down here in the US, I'm gonna move back up to the Great White North.

From the looks of it, if you're a medium-sized island country (Japan, UK, New Zealand) you may have a good chance as well, assuming you can cut yourself off.

Yes, I agree it is possible. This graphic talks about high-compact cities surviving the ravages of a warming world. Self-sufficiency would be absolutely critical. Vertical farming, water desalination powered by LENR/Cold Fusion (it's still up for debate though), and new ways of extracting metals from the ground and conserving them would help.
