I'd like to see a giant modern pyramid built one day.

If I was a multi-billionaire, I'd commission it to be built in Antarctica immediately.

Burj Khalifa is under construction when I was back there 2008 in Dubai. Now it holds the world record being the most tallest skyscrapers of all in astonishing form.

Not really a supertall, but I thought I would mention San Francisco's Transbay Transit Center and Tower, just since it's on the timeline.

Dunno what cracks me up more - fact that they are making +1000m building, or that they'll do it in just 5 years.

Ok, that here is just pure awesomness - 1 km(at least) tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Construction starts in 2 months, anticipated to end in 2016(construction 24h/day). That means new world tallest every 6 years since 1998 :]

In all fairness, that hotel in North Korea was an unstable husk of a building whose construction was postponed indefinitely in the '80's. However, since it was, and still is, an enormous eyesore, they're dressing it up in glass to make it at least look presentable, proving once and for all that North Korea is completely ridiculous.
I make an animated series about time travel and the future of humanity called ExoTemporal Excursion. You'll like it. If you're into that sort of thing. I also draw.

One World Trade Center to be New York's tallest building

One World Trade Center is to overtake the Empire State Building to become New York's tallest building once a steel column is lifted into place on Monday.

The installation of the column on the 100th floor of the skyscraper will make the structure at the site of the 9/11 attacks 1,271ft (387m) high.

About one floor of the building has been erected per week and it will be 1,776ft tall when completed.

ABC News' Bob Woodruff reports.

I like skyscrapers, Burj Khalifa is just amazing, when I was there I couldn't get it on one single picture, is was always too high. And if you go farer away other buildings are in the sight line.

I swear at the rate we're going, we'll have to stop building skyscrapers and start building "starscrapers" .

Does anyone happen to remember the name of the company that built a certain Chinese hotel in just 15 days? Anyhow, a company in china that is using preconstructed floors (forgot the exact term) is planning to build a 400m or 500m some tower in just 3 months. I think that tops the chart in impressiveness.
