all look like the characters that make up other words. Then we are shown J K L M, which make up their own words, with N being central in all these collections or words. All I can think of is that maybe J K L M, N are shown so they can be omitted, since the top letters look like a central index of characters. The only thing I can think of is maybe converting the top 24 letters into our traditional alphabet and use JKML collections to be sorted into Os and Ps which will be the 25th and 26th characters by taking out the JKML and N letters and using the collections of characters to make the O and P characters (but this from outer space not from people who definitely speak English.) Another thing I thought from looking at the DNA representation was some kind of chemical communication, but if I was an alien I would start with Hydrogen and nothing sticks out as being Hydrogen.

And now what? We have to use the first sequence to replace the letters we already know with numbers.. then figure out what J K L M are? N is distinguished and present in every J K L M sequence and almost always second to the last number.. so it stands for something constant? I just cant figure out what..

There is no 9.. I came from the assumption that A is 0.. but I guess its 1. So B=2.

I'm sorry I made some mistakes while converting initial message to base 8.
Initial version had base 7 and had least-significant-first notation. Just to make it harder for engineering students.
