He makes some interesting points.
Though I don't know that we a sufficiently different from our hunter gatherer anscestors to say we are a seperate species, we are clearly a mutant form of our anscestors on our way.
But now the ability to target genes for selective breeding, and even genetic alterations, does suggest that rather rapidly we could see at least one split and likely many directions taken.
As far as we know we are the only species to ever take control of it's own evolutionary process.
Our bars and trade ports may start to look like the start wars cantina and the star trek multi world conventions. Only we will all be from the same source. It has some crazy implications.
