I'm sorry, but there's no way we're going to cure baldness next year. Maybe 10 years from now, but definitely not next year.

The link provided goes to a Youtube video where nearly every comment accuses the product of fraud. Google searching the said product yields similar claims.

Furthermore, the timeline claims this will be done using stem cells (which is likely in the future), but the product linked shows no indication of using such technology.

Here's something that sure looks real:

When would you say this come on the market? I would guess around 2019.

Yeah, I'm guessing the cure for baldness will come in the 2020's with all the other biotechnology breakthroughs that could've been here ten years earlier if it weren't for the FDA's horribly redundant trials.

Just created an account after seeing a post on Reddit.com regarding this and seeing that the 2012 prediction of a "Cure for baldness" being removed from the main page.

I'm thinking this cure was indeed discovered in 2012, but when it hits the market is a completely other matter. So this could still work as a 2012 article, with product test runs to begin in 2014-15 perhaps?

It's all about the PGD2 enzyme that has been previously mentioned in this thread. So we may learn to block that with drugs or surgery or some combination of the two well before we regenerate follicles or grow new ones with stem cells.
