I don't know about you lot, but I find that I'm rooting more and more for Rick Santorum. I can't wait for Gingrich to finally bow out so that it'll just be a race between Santorum and Romney. Rick Santorum is pulling down one red state after another away from Romney, and is forcing Romney to spend more and more money. The longer this race continues, the longer Obama can quietly raise more cash while his potential opponents dig each other through the mud for him - each one saying one thing after another which you'll see again in Obama's campaign ads as the summer winds down. "Corporations are people, my friend"... "President Obama wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob"... "10,000 dollar bet?"... "I like being able to fire people that provide services to me"... "I'm not concerned about the very poor"... "I don't want to make black blah people's lives better by giving them other people's money"...
And on and on... it's glorious...
At this point, if Romney wins the nomination, it'll only be after a much longer and more exhausting battle than he intended, and he'll have to try to perform the uncomfortable acrobatics of veering both to the left to grab swing-state moderates in Ohio and Michigan and to the right to ensure that his base turns out to support him in places like Virginia and North Carolina.
If Santorum wins the nomination, he'll be able to grab the same hardcore red states where he is winning primaries - and not much else. After easily winning Michigan, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico, and Florida, Obama will be a two-term President.
Every day that this circus of a primary season continues brings a new smile to my face.

Obama unless the Spain/Italy situation in the Eurozone rapidly deteriorates, or some other horrible financial event occurs like a Chinese/Canadian real estate meltdown, as either of those two trading partners would wallop the U.S. if their economies go sour.

Rick Santorum is officially out of the race. It fills me with extraordinary happiness to know that there is no chance that such a horrible waste of a man could potentially be the leader of my country.
I make an animated series about time travel and the future of humanity called ExoTemporal Excursion. You'll like it. If you're into that sort of thing. I also draw.

In June of 2012, Charlie Sheen will declare an independent candidacy based on Adonis DNA and Tiger Blood. Needless to say, he will... win.
Just kidding.
Americans Elect seems to be an interesting future way to elect candidates, focusing on issues instead of personality.

I can't tell you who will win but I will tell you that when they do, everybody will lose.
If it isn't completely obvious by this point, the American political system is a game of three card montey. We only think that the ability to save us is on the table, when in fact that went out with a bit of slight of hand at the very beginning. All that's left on the table is a distraction and a means of convincing us that when we arn't saved from it all it's just because we picked the wrong one. We just need to double down, because if we just try harder and really focus we'll get next time and then we'll be saved.
But we won't. It's not even a chance of an accidental outcome. The idea that we can save ourselves was bait to keep us investing in a game that isn't even a game it's just a means of looting the populace while getting them to think they had a part in their loss.
Some suggest the best way to win this game is not to play at all. That's wrong, that's only a way not to lose. The way to win this game is know what is going on, call attention to what is going on, get the one running to face the consequences, put something actually useful on the table instead.

I don't believe in this popularity content where you only have 2 options to vote in the final run. I find it very disturbing that every idiot around the corner has the right to vote because of some emotional feedback they get from a leader they like. I can vote in my country, but I don't have the proper knowledge to do, and so is the same for 90 % of all people. Also the whole idea that we need some other humans to lead us in every single important way frightens me. I have no power. I don't have the choice to quit if I see my country is suddenly starting to get insane. If I don't have the option to walk my own path, creating my own country, or following my own rules, I am ultimately not free. Yes I could lead a revolution but that would be extremely dangerous
So it is apparently the option between violent anarchy or safety enslavement from a government. If you look through history you will found out that the government has never been a service to the people, it is the other way around. Patriotism is one of the greatest weapons to use to control.

Obama is surging ahead.
Like I've said before, Real Clear Politics is the best source for tracking polls, as it combines all the major ones together (Gallup, CNN, Fox, Rasmussen, etc.) and takes an average:
