On to economics. Business and politics don't usually intermix, which is why enormously successful people on Wall Street usually do bad as Secretary of Treasuries.

Lobbyists? Big Oil? Big Pharma? "Citizens United"? Money laundering? DUDE, WHAT UNIVERSE ARE YOU LIVING IN!? Your statement above is not only false. Go back to living under a rock little man.

lol "little man." You're too transparent.

Look at the example I gave. When I said "intermix" I meant successfully intermix. Considering I've been disparaging the current business-political relationship for pretty much my entire time on this forum, I know that you knew that. You're just grasping for straws in a pathetic cheap shot.

For a 30-year old you're embarrassingly immature.

Let me wake your eyes to reality: Lobbyists? Big Oil? Big Pharma? "Citizens United"? Money laundering? DUDE, WHAT UNIVERSE ARE YOU LIVING IN!? Your statement above is utterly false. Go back to living under a rock little man.

Yeah, and which one of those was a successful intermixing? Did you even read my post?

I reiterate: For a 30-year old you're embarrassingly immature.

jjf3 he has a degree in mathematics. In other words, he has no experience or education in political or economic matters. Meaning your point about him being a "rocket scientist" is bullshit.

You said he has no experience in economics. Somebody with no experience in economics wouldn't be able to become head of a federal reserve board could they? or bring up businesses out of the ground. You are right that he has no experience in politics. He could pick people in his cabinet who do however.

You said he is not a rocket scientist. I think anybody working directly with missiles and rockets qualifies under that category wouldn't you? rocket scientist is an informal word for Aerospace Engineering! And that's what he did!

My point is he is not a complete idiot like you think.

Where is your proof about this Herman Cain fake presidential run? Romney talks more about his book than does Cain.

Just turn on your damn television. It's blatantly obvious. You're only 20 years old, so I'll give you some lee-way for not seeing this, but wake up and smell reality and turn off Fox News.

I watch the news (CNN and FOX) all the time I see no talk of this Herman Cain fake run you talk of. I am 22 anyway. I see people tearing him apart saying he's the flavor of the week. But I think everybody on the GOP ballot seriously wants to and thinks they can win the nominee.

Why do you think the news channels are calling him "Flavor of the week"? Just look at Trump and Palin. They both serve as case studies for Cain's marketing strategy. The term "flavor of the week" is another way of the media saying: "Faking a presidental run to sell something; in this case, books." Palin is selling books too, only she didn't enter the President race because she knew she would never be able to hide the fact she's not running for President to be President, because of her poll numbers. Just look at these things in terms of 'objectives' that create an overall broad-defining-strategy.

I haven't heard Cain talk about his book too much to be honest but yes, if he ends up dropping out and loosing "flavor" than he would have made a nice profit for himself. But as of now, he definitely has a chance at becoming a contender for the nomination.

*sigh*

I'm aware that business and politics intermix. When I said "intermix" I meant "successfully intermix." Because this is a discussion about whether Cain would make a "good president," this implication should've been obvious.

Did you even read my retorts? I explicitly acknowledged that business and politics intermix when I said "the business-political relationship."

Dude just admit that you are wrong for once ok? You are just repeating exactly what i said!

Rocket science is a colloquial term for aerospace engineering and related fields.

Okay, now you're contesting the colloquialism of the term. Haven't you ever heard the expression "how hard can it be, it's not brain surgery?"? Do you think it's literally talking about brain surgery? Or is "brain surgery" a substitution for "difficult task"? "Brain surgery" is hyperbolic and so obviously an expression. Likewise, have you heard anyone say, "how hard can it be, it's not rocket science?"

Was Cain a rocket scientist? Yes, he was. I do not deny this and this was never a part of my argument. I used "rocket science" as the expression it is.

The fact that I have to explain this to you speaks volumes about your character.

Meaning your point about him being a "rocket scientist" is bullshit.

How is one supposed to take this statement without further explanation? Then you went onto attack Herman Cain about not being a real "rocket scientist." And I rightly pointed out that when people think of Rocket Scientists they think of anybody who works directly with missiles and weapons.

I was using the word informally as well, as I said, "The man is a freaking rocket scientist!" I don't have to be so formal all the time, especially on forums! So I am guessing, you didn't know that Cain was a ballistic analyst before I said he was a rocket scientist. Then you got pissed off that I was using the word informally. However, you defend yourself using the word informally! What a joke of a debate that was. Grow up!

Okay jjf3, I think you are confused. Let me tell you what happened:

1) I said Cain is not a "rocket scientist" based on the informal definition.
2) I NEVER said that Cain isn't an actual "rocket scientist." Find my post that said that.
3) You tried to make me look foolish by pointing out that Cain is in fact an actual rocket scientist.
4) I pointed out that I meant "rocket scientist" informally, not literally.

You then continued with #3 and I continued with #4. My contention was never about whether Cain was an actual rocket scientist or not. Why can't you understand this?

I said he was a rocket scientist informally the first time around!!!! What don't you understand about that? Then I went on, stating that he is probably smart enough to figure out how to run a political campaign. You didn't believe me, so I pointed out what he did for the US Navy and how that qualifies as being a rocket scientist.

"You don't have to be a rocket scientist to run a campaign." However, Herman Cain is! So he can do it too and is doing just fine right now, might I add!!!!

Good point. jjf3, I concede because my attempts to explain elementary concepts to you is always in vain.

Hint: Being an actual rocket scientist speaks nothing about your ability to be a good politician.

I don't understand how I could be more clear. You never understood my point. You said Cain was an idiot. I pointed out that you don't need to be a rocket scientist to run or hold a political office, but since Cain is a Rocket Scientist he definitely can figure out how to run a proper campaign and even get into the white house.

Your Point: Cain is an idiot

He is a fucking stupid motherfucker. Anyone who isn't fringe is gaping in disbelief.

My Point: Herman Cain is a genius.

That's what this debate was about. Not the word Rocket Scientist. You made a big deal out of that.

So you don't think a rocket scientist would be a good politician? Well, Herman Cain seems to be doing a pretty good job at it. He's trending in the media and the internet ya know. Better than an actor? Warmongering Cowboys, and a Senator? Where's your proof that Cain is non-electable?

Because his 999 plan shows an utter lack of understanding about anything related to politics and economics.

But to give this discussion more substance:

I'll admit 999 was probably a media keyword catcher and once people latched on he fixes it up. I'm not too fond of Cain but your allegations were harsh and untrue. Maybe it was a Cain Conspiracy to drive media attention to himself. We already know he likes negative advertisement to grab people's attention.

Wow. So politicians don't break laws or have affairs??? What world do you live in? But I do agree that these recent "scandals" do hurt his chances.

Oh and BTW he officially says the reports are false. http://www.msnbc.msn...t/#.Tq8F8UPlchI we'll see what happens though. He's got a tough year ahead of him and will probably last longer than dumbass Perry!
