There's no explanation given as to exactly what happens in this video, but the overall flow of the timeline matches up almost perfectly with how I view the world changing during this time frame: Not implausibly fast (i.e. Star Trek-like technology within 50 years), but not devolving into a neo-medieval dystopia either. If you want a world government in your timeline that predicts the future, never have it form within 100 years - try more like 1,000 (like in this scenario).
