It's the strangest existential feeling to look at yourself in the mirror and realize you're a primate. There's just something that almost gives me a sense of dread and joy about it, like I recognize I'm both just a dumb, greasy animal as well as a member of an increasingly cybernetic species that has all but conquered its planet (perhaps too much). It just makes you wonder: how did this weird ape go so far, and how much of our existence are we still collectively winging?
