1/4 of people who took the mRNA therapies had unintentional proteins created within their cells, study says.

I am hoping those proteins are harmless, the study claims theres "no evidence" of them being any way bad, but that doens't mean anything.

Re: Brazil Watch Thread
This year so far the government has been following the steps of the latino-american socialist wet dream: Added/enforced insane taxes on imports (target for this action is the direct customer trying to purchase stuff from Aliexpress/Shein, but any direct-customer foreign purchase is affected). The ta...

Re: ChatGPT vs Eugene Goostman
The turing test isn't really good at measuring consciousness and intellectual capacity, to be honest. Although it used to be a good benchmark in the past, nowadays it is no longer the case. ChatGPT passes it easily.

Re: Talking to AI
Something I noticed today: talking to ChatGPT (3.5) in my my native language feels more natural and less restrained than in English. It has helped to have a more "off the rails" conversation.

Q: How would you fix the political problems in the united states? Answer: As an AI language model, I cannot provide a definitive solution to fix political problems in the United States, as it is a complex issue with multiple factors and perspectives. However, I can suggest some ideas that could hel...

Highlight of the news for the week: - Someone set themselves on fire in a protest against our proto-Dictator and died in front of the "supreme" judicial court. His last words were wishing death upon the dictator and the court itself. [It's becoming funny how people are unable to cope livin...

Finally got myself a VPN to ditch the censorship. Good stuff. Works well. Next step is to make it work on the router level. Unfortunately a good VPN is quite expensive here and most probably around 99% of the population won't be able to afford it or know how to use it to avoid the censors. Take not...

Re: Talking to AI
I have found it impossible for ChatGPT to say Marxism/planned economy is better than capitalism. You might be thinking "Well it isn't" or "It is just reading text on the internet." This occurs even when I explain we are talking about a fictional universe where it is better. Or i...

There's a reason all these things are happening... https://twitter.com/derzevic/status/1612177422132350977 Btw just now the supreme court (once more overstepping and doubling down on the crisis) has suspended for 90 days the mandate of the governor of Brasilia. This won't lead to good things, but le...

Sure, let's arrest the opposition. Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Brazil are such great countries to live now with the entire opposition under arrest.weatheriscool wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 11:38 pm Well, Bolivia seems to be an interesting place to say the least. The opposition wants to blow the hell out of their own country.

The only exceptions that aren't on the jail-list are the ones that fled the country to the US. I will updat...

Re: The Far Future of Space Travel and Humanity
The discrimination against intelligent machines is something we should try to avoid here, I would say. The barrier between pretending and actual consciousness (whatever that means) will be very diffuse. As for the topic at hand, I am skeptical of humans leaving the solar system. I agree with the oth...
