Re: Your 2026 Predictions
When it comes to serious AI pundits some people suspected AGI in 2027 before pushing their date back. I think 2026 is the last year that will certainly be normal. We may have more normal years after but 2026 doesn't seem to be in range of any persons AGI predictions optimists included. AI is in a gi...

Re: Australia and Oceania news and discussions
It's Australian election time I have broken down how both political parties differ. The Australian political parties were questioned about their opinions on 30 issues. https://www.abc.net.au/news/vote-compass Liberal and Labor are the two major parties and the only relevant questions are those they ...

Making Money Via AI
Many people here took AI seriously back when top experts would appear on a podcast or do a conference like 500 people would watch if that. Many people here knew about Bitcoin when it was cheap as hell to buy. We should be keeping our eyes open on potential investment opportunities to make money from...

Re: The Elon Musk Thread
I want to see Tesla fail, Musk and the Tate brothers are really the only successful people I hate. That said Telsa is still going strong I want to provide the odd update tracking the companies downfall, right now I think people are acting like the company has failed too early. The typical growth rat...

Re: The Nostalgia Thread
I have some nostalgia for the early 2000s I didn't really get to live in the era I was 18 by 2015. I like the idea that you can quite easily meetup with people via phones/phone numbers but social media doesn't really exist. Dating apps don't exist, you can't easily just binge a tv show. Many factors...

Re: The Singularity - Official Thread
Personally I think AI is quite pathetic right now. I think what we have seen is a snowball reaching critical mass but not for AI rather for rich and powerful people taking AI seriously. This has kind of created an illusion that we are closer to the singularity.tm than reality. Big breakthroughs keep...

Nah normal XY chromosomes it's just feminized to an extreme degree.
For example this might be an average gay guy who was moderately feminized pre birth.

Re: LGBT+ News and Discussions
I see it like intersex for these people, but I don't think it technically is because of chromosomes, the point being even trans women more feminine than most women or vice versa for trans men won't be able to change legal sex.

Re: LGBT+ News and Discussions
There is a type of trans woman who is feminized pre birth and are born effectively feminine straight women. Not being able to change legal sex will make it harder for them to live as women without people knowing they are trans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0RNvyihzsA I was internet friends with ...

Re: I want the option in teh future to choose your body and what sex you're
If everyone is special no one is and future life will be really easy with a lack of things you can do for acomplishment. This is why FIVR appeals to me you can live when you did in reality when life had challenges and most people were average. Be who you want to be or effectively time travel not cha...

Re: Your 2025 Predictions
At least 50% of r/singularity will think we have AGI after some further improvements probably involving agents but the first generation of agentic AI will be retarded in many ways. We already have human level intelligence in humans so very dumb agents will have limited impact on the world. It will b...

I find the Myke Tyson Jake Paul fight really sad.
Jake Paul will probably win "A 27 year-old d head beat up a 58 year old legend" wow what an accomplishment mate.
I suppose it will be enjoyable if Tyson wins in which case it will be sad from a pathetic standpoint.

A game is coming out called inZOI
Basically imagine the sims except third person with good graphics and other realism improvements. It feels like the 2024/2025 equivalent of FIVR and that it's where life simulation games should be at this point.

Re: 2023-2024 Presidential, senate, house, state and city election thread
I really do buy the betting odds as a good enough metric. Right now it is 63.1% Republican vs 36.1% Democrat. It's far from over, based on odds Republicans will probably win but 36.1% chance is high in reality. It's not some kind of situation where there is only 0.1% chance of winning or something. ...
