Re: How long until an artificial intelligence media creator?

@citali_ yes, indeed! Greetings futurists, I want to bumb up my year and a half old thread as I'd like to show a few very interesting improvements that have already gone beyond making still images of abstract concepts. As shown on page one of this thread Courtesy of @R8Z which they provided a couple...

Re: When can I realistically expect to start augmenting myself?

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times by now on here huh? Lol, after all this isn't your run of the mill forum. This is FT's forum! As such I'll look into the archive's to see if I can run into the information I'm looking for, regardless thank you all who read my post. I'm also gonna...

When can I realistically expect to start augmenting myself?

I'm interested in everything and anything related to augmentating myself. Whether it's my vision, strength, stamina, intelligence etc. As we all know in today's world I'm basically at the mercy of nature and what our current medicine/technology allows. But I'd like to become something more than what...

Re: What would humans be like if we decided to live forever?

For us mortals, eternal life may seem like a bliss. Actually having it might just be a different story when you think about it. I feel like that's something people say because they know they have no choice but to die lol. What could possibly go wrong being immortal? You'd be a god, literally unkill...

Re: What would humans be like if we decided to live forever?

In short everything would change and it would be a new paradigm shift in terms of how we experience life. Both society and the individual would change in many ways, should the population find themselves not having to worry about dieing. I imagine it would be up to each individual on what they want t...

Re: Can virtual reality replicate mind altering states?

It is striking, how much discrepancy exists between some people about VR. I've seen comments that expect full immersion virtual reality by 2030 (Kurzweil thought so, I wonder what's his current view on that) and comments that the immature VR, portrayed in the Ready Player One movie will be real by ...

Can virtual reality replicate mind altering states?

I've wonder this for a while now, basically it's virtual reality replicating the sensations and euphoria our brains experience under the influence of various substances and yes i do mean drugs just so we are clear. For example, let's say it's 2050 I'm in my full dive VR experience. I can smell, tast...

Re: Is the Tesla Bot the real deal?

Hate to dash hopes and dreams, but no, it's not real. Tesla has yet to demonstrate any marginally working prototype and Elon Musk is well known for making false promises. Robotics are moving at lighting pace, and organizations like Boston Dynamics have created real impressive advancements, but that...

Is the Tesla Bot the real deal?

I'm sure many of you have either seen or heard about the impressive progress displayed recently in the world of robots. A decade ago you'd think i was talking about the latest movie or something like that, but today it's a reality with the introduction of Elon musk's first generation robot, dubbed &...

Re: How long until an artificial intelligence media creator?

That's an excellent question, and I would assume the answer is some time later this decade or in the 2030s. What you're referring to is the type of work I'm studying to develop. And when this kind of media making does become available it will be quite popular. Thank you for posting your question(s)...
