I think an important one is using Artificial Intelligence or even studying and programming AI (that will surely guarantee a very good career path).
What else? Maybe biotechnology given its relationship with health and aging (which we are trying to understand and reverse).

Re: Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality News & Discussions
Is it bad that I am interested in VR, and want my future job/company (?) to be related to it, but I'm totally out of touch with the world of VR? Like, I read zero news articles, watch zero videos and I don't have any understanding of how VR functions... :( :( For instance, I had no idea that Apple w...

Re: Niall Ferguson thinks the 2020s could be economically worse than the 1970s
The demographic aspect is the most worrying. Japan and South Korea will be hit hard by it in the end of this decade after the massive wave of retirements that will happen. I mean, just look at this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9c/Japan_Population_Pyramid.svg When mid-50s people ...

Re: Geology, Earthquakes & Volcanism News and Discussions
What are some future earthquakes which could plausibly happen within a few centuries (Or even decades)? I'll start with one that I'm surprised is not at the FutureTimeline timeline: The earthquake that will hit Peru (Especially Lima, with a population of over 10 million), within decades This is a ne...

The future of Brazil
Hi! So, with all of those predictions about climate change and demographics becoming pretty likely to happen, what do you personally think will be the future of Brazil? Will it balkanize and enter into irrelevance due to declining demographics and climate change or will it be able to be powerful/rem...

Re: Aging & Longevity News and Discussions
I also doubt that treatments would be heavily regulated/restricted, as the coming demographic crisis will necessitate improved healthspans for society in order to maintain economic growth, as well as care for the elderly. If anything, aging treatments might eventually be free, like the Covid vaccin...

Re: How are longevity predictions tracking?
Lol. I for one definitely need to take some of the health suggestions into account. Eating less meat in particular. If you're 16 now, I think you'll be alright haha. Definitely, definitely not too late. If you were 50 or 60 with that lifestyle, you'd probably have some damage, but 16 is so young yo...

Re: How are longevity predictions tracking?
Thanks for your input. Sounds like my chances look pretty good, then. I do need to sit a lot less... For me, it would be amazing to: 1 - Live all the way to 100. 2 - Shortly after that, live to see January 1st, 2100 - for better or worse, I'd have been alive for all of the 21st century. 3 - Remain ...
