Re: Wireless electricy news and discussions
Wireless charging over that kind of distance would be a total game changer — no more hunting for outlets or carrying chargers everywhere. If they can safely boost the power to handle phones and tablets, I’d be all in

Re: USA News and Discussions
https://x.com/TheInsiderPaper/status/1934032220655698222 I just read that the LAPD used tear gas this week downtown Los Angeles to disperse protesters. It’s clear that situations like this can really complicate things for companies, especially those coming from abroad who don’t fully know how U.S. ...

Re: Diabetes news, discovery and discussion thread
One thing that doesn’t get enough attention in diabetes news is the legal pressure mounting on insulin manufacturers. Some lawsuits allege insulin production costs ~$2 per vial but is sold for $300–$700. That’s wild. There’s a legal breakdown here if anyone’s curious about the case details and patie...

Re: AI investments are starting to pay off
The cloud business growth is a solid indicator that all the investment is starting to show results. The 22% increase is pretty impressive. Looks like the AI boom is just getting started, and they’re only going to pour more money into it.

Re: How tech billionaires plan to destroy America
Tech billionaires are often in the spotlight for their influence, but the idea of them "destroying America" is definitely a strong claim. It could be interesting to dive into how their growing power affects politics, economy, or social issues. But to get a clear picture, it might be worth ...

Re: India–Pakistan tensions
The tensions between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir attack are definitely concerning. It’s good to see that Rubio is stepping in, trying to push both sides toward de-escalation. The situation is already pretty intense with the expulsion of diplomats, the border closing, and military exchanges. ...

Re: Whistleblower warns baffling illness affects growing number of young adults in Canadian province
I'm coming back to this thread after a while because I saw here , on the page about attorneys specialized in government cases (including NSA), that whistleblowers need serious legal protection when exposing major issues. Even in situations like the one in New Brunswick, where a mysterious illness is...

Last I heard, some options are in clinical trials, so maybe in a few years if all goes well.

Re: Has futurism science ever been wrong about “physical processes?”
Scientists and futurists have proven themselves mistaken about certain experimental predictions. As you mentioned cold fusion serves as a solid example for this point. Research continues to show that warp drive technology for faster-than-light travel maintains speculative uncertainty about its feasi...

Re: Speculative equations that were wrong?
There exist several experimental cases to illustrate these points. The physiological energy reaction known as cold fusion proved promising in the late 1980s until scientists failed to validate the original proposed mechanism. Current technology requires impractical amounts of energy for the proposed...

Re: Cancer News and Discussions
Cannabis has shown promising results in managing symptoms related to cancer, including alleviating pain, reducing chemotherapy-induced nausea, and easing anxiety associated with a cancer diagnosis. While it is not a cure for cancer, studies indicate that it can effectively address secondary symptoms...

Re: Postives of 4 more years of Trump on Tech and science?
Also a Mars city is pointless at this stage The reason I agree with you is that we shouldn't talk about colonizing other planets until we’ve truly conquered our own. At the moment, it seems like we’re more focused on destroying our planet. That said, since Trump is now president, I feel like Elon w...

Re: future of medicine going in 10 years from now and 20 years from now
Since AI is the new big thing, I feel like in a year or two we will have AI put to use in medicine. I don't know how, but for sure I can see it being used for making diagnoses and maybe even performing some simple surgeries. We'll see, but for sure this will become a pillar in medicine

You can also use stem cells for knee pain therapy by using a harvested mixture, which includes adult stem cells, platelets, and white blood cells, which are then prepared for injection into the affected knee joint. A healthy dose of skepticism! You're right to question the notion that exponential technological development will necessarily lead to significant changes in people's lives by 2029. While technology will undoubtedly continue to advance, it's possible that the impact on daily life might be more increm...
