Re: The Sleep Thread
I try to sleep for at least 8 hours a day, so I go to sleep between 9:30 to 10:30, although on the weekend when I am not working, I tend to stay awake for longer.

Are planet-destroying weapons practical?
A weapon that is capable of destroying entire planets might seem to be an amazing weapon, but there are some drawbacks to them. They would cost a lot of money to build and would probably need a lot of power to operate, and if they are as big enough, they would need to be defended. So, it makes more ...

Re: Personal chat thread
I finally have a job and it is a fairly easy job, as I am testing people to see if they are infected with COVID-19, although it involving a lot of walking around, so it is somewhat tiring, but it is also really close to where I live so I could walk there and back, as I did when I finished working to...

If an afterlife was found to exist
Some time ago, I watched a movie about a scientist who discovered that an afterlife exists. However, this discovery causes lots of people to kill themselves. I remember I didn't watch all of this movie, but I am not sure why, but anyway, what do you would happen if an afterlife was found to exist.

Re: Does anyone else view themselves as a time-traveler compared to other people?
I feel like I am from later this century when climate change is at its worst and that it why I am so scared about climate change because it feels like I already know what will happen. I am also familar with other problems that we will face in the future, so that it also why I feel that I am from lat...

Re: The Alternate History Thread
How the Axis could have won World War 2. The attack on Pearl Harbor does not happen, although the United States would probably still join the Allies. Instead, Japan teams up with Germany and they both invade the Soviet Union. However, I don't think the Soviet Union would surrender, but if the Axis u...

Re: Remove an important person from history and how would history have changed?
My choice is Adolf Hitler. Without Hitler, there would be no Nazis, so World War 2 may not happen. The Holocaust would not happen, meaning the country of Israel might not exist, but Zionism would still exist, so it could still exist, but there would be fewer Jews living there, meaning the conflict b...

Re: Remove an important person from history and how would history have changed?
weatheriscool, I think you are ignoring that without the USSR, there would be no Cold War without the USA, and thus, the Space Race between them. A fully capitalist world would see little incentive for space exploration and travel, as it is expensive and they probably would only consider it right no...

Re: The Alternate History Thread
World War 1 ending with a fair peace would be interesting to see. World War 2 could be avoided, but it could still happen, but it would be different from our World War 2, obviously.
