I would hate to be one of the passengers when something goes terribly wrong.

But then, it'll be quick.

As a futurist who is always thinking about the future and the possibilities it brings, I think the present time as medieval. It's depressing at times.

It looks like we'd better start seabed and asteroid mining sooner than we anticpated.

We won't be able to travel to that far in the future even if we have a time machine capable of that. Our descendants will be so advanced they'll be able to detect us arriving to their timeline and place a time barrier so we won't be able to cross it.

Aside from climate change, I can't think of any other subject that's more important to me. Without a cure for aging, we're all dead within a century and won't get to experience a single damn thing after that. It should be in everyone's top 3 for their most-wanted future breakthroughs.
