Tesla Gigafactory Europe to be built in Germany, not UK, as Elon Musk blames Brexit uncertainty https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/tesla/108395/tesla-gigafactory-europe-to-be-built-in-germany-not-uk-as-elon-musk-blames-brexit

I would do the same thing. We have heard similar things from other companies, but I wonder how many other global businesses have made similar decisions without making it public. There is a large amount of invisible lost investment since the Brexit referendum.

Indeed. Brexit has already cost the UK an estimated £66bn since the referendum. That's more than our cost of EU membership.

I think he commented on one of my posts not too long ago, or perhaps I am confusing him with somebody else. At any rate, I fear all of the libertarians are running out of energy. Sorry about that :)

Lucky old Northern Ireland, eh? Maybe the rest of the UK could benefit too? And then join the other countries with free movement and the single market? We could call it something like... I dunno, the Union of Europe, or something?

Nonsense, Corbyn is the Russian supporter, after all he loves socialism and those Russian billionaire oligarchs are obviously all socialists, they've just stolen billions from their people as a cover.

but seriously though, it would probably be easier to launder money through London if they could ignore EU laws while doing so, so it makes sense fort them to support brexit.

In style, it reminds me of Palmer Luckey and his "Anduril" startup, that aims to use VR and AI to help border patrol target illegal immigrants like with Terminator vision. Anduril is the name of the sword wielded by Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. Might be an appropriate name for a weapon used against the hordes of Mordor; but not impoverished, barely-hanging-on families south of the border.

First good steps I've seen a government make in a while. Here's hoping it compounds. Unconventional hydrocarbon extraction needs banned wholesale with major rollback of hydrocarbon production in general, in tandem with transitioning the economy of course.

“I’ve never seen, in 50 years of investigating all deaths that occur in prisons in New York state, never have two guards fall asleep at the same time, while the video doesn’t work,”

This is the part which, to me, gives credibility to the idea that his death was suspicious.

If Corbyn is a hard left extremist it boggles the mind to think what anyone farther left than a social democrat must be. It also boggles the mind to think that liberal media is really that scared of a social democrat.

Also labour was originally farther left, the liberals are historically the intruders in the party.

Agree with you about that last part though. With that said it remains to be seen how accurate the polls are.
