I don't know if I should be happy that Elon is talking about ethereum for the free publicity. Or concerned that more clowns who don't understand what they're talking about are getting involved in the space. We already have a lot of a billionaire fuckbois and I'd trade them all for more devs.

What a black person means when they say #BlackLivesMatter: Please pay attention to police brutality the cops are shooting us in the streets. . . What a dumbass on the internet pretends to think it means: That’s self evident, of course black lives matter, all lives do. I feign believing in equality after all. What about other people, black lives aren't superior after all?

There is now a golden cross on of the 50-daySMA and the 200-daySMA on both Ethereum and Bitcoin. A golden cross in the exponential moving averages aren't that far behind but aren't in yet.

A golden cross is a bullish signal for a market where a relatively short-term moving average crosses a above a long-term moving average. In the example above there is a golden cross when the example 15day-SMA crosses the 50-daySMA. Exponential moving averages (EMA) are a tad more complex to calculate so I'll spare putting the formula to words. The primary difference between SMAs and EMAs are that EMAs put more weight and significance on the most recent data points in the average.

Sorry in advance for the colors swapping around. The first chart is of ethereum where the blue line is the 50day-SMA and the red line the 200day-SMA. Trading volume is also represented by the bars on the bottom of the chart.

Notice how there was a golden cross back in March of 2017 before the last bull run, and a death cross (when the 50day falls below the 200day) before the market crash. A golden cross alongside increasing trading volume is an indicator of a coming bull market. It can take months or even sometimes a year for the market to reflect such an indicator though. And nothing is guaranteed, this is just a major statistical indicator. You're absolutely right. It is very exciting :D

No hard theory, just some places to start. I also don't 100% agree with any of those people, more I pull things I like. For example I think Philosophy Tube is a postmodernist and screw that.

Thought: Common rebuttal to worker self management. "Do you really think people can manage themselves?" Excluding mondragon for the moment. Excluding that people manage themselves outside of work for the moment. How did humans work before bosses? Something that a lot of folks don't realize is that peasants self managed for centuries. Their product was still controlled sure, but the lord of the land didn't care how they got it.

I'd also say that (to generalise massively) engineers/computer scientists have literally the opposite focus to what is ideal for management.

Good managers need people skills, they need to sit back and look at the big picture, and they need focus on multiple simultaneous projects while juggling the needs of dozens of employees, often with different conflicting stakeholders above them they need to answer to.

Still, with training and work plenty of engineers can becom...

    -become good managers.

Engineers obviously vary a lot but (except those managing teams) they all need to be able to focus down on one task at a time in a lot of detail until they completely understand the issue and can build or adapt the system to solve that problem, then move onto the next bit. That's what those careers must select for.

I'm a volunteer though, the only pay I get it is tips and the store is anti-profit. Any money I need for life comes from other more grueling work. The store functions as a mailbox for folks without homes, staffers are trained to use naloxone if someone ODs, activists around the city organize here and we offer free community space for open mics, talks, documentary screenings, parties and other things that communities like to do. This thing that I do in my spare time is probably more social...

socially valuable than any chain business for miles and yet I get single digits in tips for it. That's not why I do it of course, but to me the store shows what people can do with even minimal effort when profit isn't the motive. It takes about 20ish people a day out of their week to keep the place going. Imagine what 20 people could do if they had 2 or even 3 days to work on something they're passionate about every week!

If you're looking for bookstores like this I know they exist in other cities. Here's a somewhat up to date directory to see if any collectives are near you. Movements are differ regionally though and I can't speak to what a radical spaces will be like outside of Pittsburgh. https://slingshotcollective.org/canada/

I admit I'm privileged to live where I do though. It's really weird that a city as small as Pittsburgh has such established spaces like it does.

The marketcap itself is still pretty high, around 160B. It's the volume that drops like a stone. It's important to realize that real volume has increased over the past few days though. Ignore the noise focus on the truth.

Two things happened today. I came back from a dermatology checkup with the news that I'm balding and might have skin cancer (unrelated to each other.) Feel pretty shit about both of those things tbh. Especially defeated about the first. The second thing is that the market seems to have confirmed my suspicions that the bear market is over which is nice I guess. I'd rather not go bald tbh, even the richest people still goes bald.

Senator Chuck Schumer is another balding guy who got good results from hair transplants. Watch this video (he's the guy at far right) and notice how when he faces the camera, he seems to have a respectable head of hair, but when he turns away, a bald spot in the back is visible. Without the hair transplant, he would look almost like Captain Picard.

The crypto bear market is over. We are now in a new consolidation phase of the market. Do your own research by my suggestion would be to dollar cost average into bitcoin and etherum over the next 6 months then DCA out on the way up to 2,000$ ETH and 40,000$ BTC.

I don't think XRP has a value proposition for investors like myself. The technology is interesting, and might get used a bit. But the token being traded on exchanges is not the same token that banks would use. It's also centralized. Stellar Lumens are also doing a better job getting partnerships imo with IBM using their platform. There are also a lot of stablecoins popping up that help fill the void. The most impressive being stablrdai imo because it's decentralized and collatori...

collatorized with ETH. I also think that ultimately banks will use their own in house platforms and connect them to each other through some yet to be fully developed smart contract platform. In a similar way to how companies had intranets that they eventually wanted to connect to the internet. I'm hoping ETH is that platform but it remains to be seen.

Listening to NPR right now and there's an Indian women talking about how dystopic microtargetted ads in India's democracy are. She's saying that the next election will be Cambridge Analytica in India. I hate to be hasty. But if strong laws are not put into place around the world to stop this soon it will be the end of democracy worldwide.

Wiki says Bernie is one year older than Biden, so the chances to die are equal. It will be even worse if he will die being already elected.
In general, such "gerontocracy" is often a sign of rigid and disfunctional political system. IMHO the best age for ruler is 50-60.
