Hours n' Hours of Funeral Doom Metal+Dysthymia= "The Passion of the Roaches" the most depressing ultradystopia ever. EVER.

Well, my mouth is sore. Shoulda brushed more, and I wouldn't have needed to get a tooth removed.

Personally, I love Scandinavian music from the Middle Ages, there's quite a lot of it on YouTube. Certainly better than a lot of pop music around today!

@Lily Unsure. There's another story I'm considering doing, mainly because I'm not down with MM being done this soon.

@kjaggard If it's not Mother Meki, then it's going to be something like this

I nano each year too. Did Script frenzy too when it still existed. I've entirely too many story outlines to choose from and it usually comes down to the last week when I force myself to sit down and pound keys on whatever idea is stuck in the forefront of my mind.

Reading some comments on YouTube. Often, my brain turns to mush. But the comments on one video are putting legendary novels to shame.

I've gotten 2 top comments on the same video at the exact same time.

Anyone like Scott Pilgrim or The World Ends With You? I've a new short story idea, Belle Grand-Mär, that is a lot like them.

@Ted Cruz rally, a bunch of racists waved Confederate flags and talked some unsavory things. I predict the House will ruin whatever deal comes through

This assumes that Boehner has/will have some actual balls, though.

I am... excited's an interesting word.
Cruz is definitely going to be the new face of the Tea Party movement (which is not only a shadow of its former self but is getting more unpopular by the day, literally) so if we avert default, be prepared to hear more about Ted Cruz and his "unwavering loyalty to American values". If it fails, he'll be ruined. The GOP will decay and go the way of the Whigs. America's gonna rot.
It's an anarchist's wet dream.

America is not going to rot. Actually, this mess is one of its strengths.

I... I really just don't get lolbertarians anymore. One minute, they're praising the "Good Ol' Days" of the 1950s and 1800s before the "cultural marxists hijacked America" and then they rant against almost everything the US did or stood for (like pro-science). I'm starting to wonder if they really like America or if they just want to piss people off.

-
Yuli Ban
Trust me, conservative libertarians have hijacked the term so badly that social-libertarians and libertarian communists don't even want to be called such anymore.
And there's a different between libertarian and lolbertarian. And right-libertarians are the first to say that a "libertarian socialist" is "an oxymoron." Because they don't understand a damn thing about socialism. Or, in most cases, capitalism. Or really anything. It's like the failure of the U...

As I said, there's a difference between libertarian and lolbertarian. My uncle's a libertarian, but his head's on his shoulders. He even made it clear to me that, while he does think there's liberal bias in the media, he's aware of a damaging conservative bias as well. If only more lolbertarians were like him, the Tea Party wouldn't be seen as the wingnut side of America that it is.

Personally, I'm in favor of overhauling our entire political system which we currently use and switch to a more direct form of democracy (kind of like anarchy, except that there would still be some rules that everyone would have to follow, and it wouldn't be total chaos).

Watching some contemporary commercial and movies. Seeing earbuds, smartphones attached to peoples' arms, neon clothing, and tablets etc. gave me futureshock. Even movies set present day are starting to feel like sci-fi!

I'm only 18 and I feel this way! I guess I'm just more tech conscious?

I feel this way. I remember getting annoyed at someone answering the phone while I was using the internet. Being amazed at a nokia cell phone with an antenna that played snake on a green/black screen. I remember playing those Win95 games. Tech has come so far if you showed someone from the '90s a smartphone they wouldn't even imagine it coming from the 2000s, they'd think it's far out there future tech.

I was only eight years old when the iPhone was released, so yeah, that's the only thing I can really remember being "amazed" by, the introduction of the touchscreen.

Feelin' good: my college professor just told me that, even if Mother Meki was written just above mediocrely, it could easily be a bestseller and classic.

Is Mother Meki your book? Or am I missing something here?

If you were to have any mental illness/disorder, which one would you'd rather have?

-
Raklian
^ Not bad if you are willing to sacrifice some aspects of your mind - like self-monitoring during social interactions.

What social interactions? I know no social interactions I have done in the past week. Save college.

Maybe something that wouldn't leave me in a state so aware of my illness that I'd feel driven to end my life. Yeah, that sounds about right. TBH, all mental disorders are not very desirable and some really scare the shit out of me, but if my requirement was met, I'd at least keep on living. Would that be a good thing for the people around me? - Somehow, I doubt it

Haven't you guys ever heard of synaethesia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia
I've done whole bunches of self-hypnosis, and, for the first time, I've simulated the experience of this truly fascinating condition. I knew it was possible since people have said that you can, indeed, learn how to "taste colors" and whatnot (and admittedly, I first though "WTF?!) but I've done it. I've finally replicated synaesthesia by fooling my neurons, if on...
