I am starting to believe that A.i is a huge negative on freedom and reality. Before A.i the internet was free and one could talk and ideas were free to be spread from one point to another. Now that isn't so! Also because of A.i you don't know if you're talking to a real person or not and entire sites are filled to the top with them. A.i sucks.

Things like algorithms steering folks into more and more radical web sites make me not so sure that what Jessica is saying is paranoid. These things amount to an inadvertent type of social engineering. What has happened is through this form of AI and confirmation bias, we now live in information silos where we are increasingly confined to "socially constructed" separate realities. Not good.

What Caltrek is saying is true. There is active disinformation warfare taking place at the hands of state actors, nevermind the slightly less malicious hoard of advertising bots. I saw a report once that over 80% of Internet traffic are bots and they're not just passive. I'm convinced a fair amount of reddit discussions are interspersed with sophisticated bots. Subs like worldnews are prime examples where one would run into them.

I asked for terms to be set for a reason. Looking at algorithms that have perforated across the social media platforms for the last time, and saying that because of their negative use, all A.I must be banned, is paranoia. Not all A.I are spam bots.
