The UK Labour party sounds piss weak these days. I'm not from the UK so I wouldn't have the full picture, that's the gist I'm getting from things I'm hearing

You'll hear joe00uk and others denouncing Starmer as a champagne socialist, but the fact is, somebody as left-wing as Corbyn would never be elected in the UK today. The Tory election landslide PROVES that. I have immense respect for Joe, but he is dead wrong on Starmer.

Labour's strategy should be: get in power FIRST, on a centre-left platform, and THEN you can pivot towards more left-wing/socialist policies. As opposed to Corbyn and his supporters who shouted from the rooftops about wanting a socialist revolution.

Quite a few pundits loved to compare Corbyn to Bernie, it's easy to forget that Britain is actually to the left of the USA, with a bit of a different approach to democracy overall.

I'd support him, as I don't mind SocDems. A "champagne" socialist is better than none at all. Hopefully Britain can return to some sensibility.
