Do you think that we should have a poll every month and give some forumite here the "award" of Forumite of the Month? Back when I was in forth and fifth grade, we had a Student of the Month for every month, which is from where I got this idea.

Thoughts on this?

I think this one should definitely happen.

Everyone in this thread gets a like for nomination, in case you already didn't get one.

Now give me your votes petty civilians in exchange for the chance that your head stays on your body!

Aside from that, I'd like to nominate JCO. He really pushed the quality of content during November and on through today. He's nice and respects other's opinions. He doesnt reply rudely, nor with vulgar, and he offers valuable insight.

Next nomination would be Death. The man came back and started some intuitive threads in all walks of subforums. He isn't really rude; just chill and tends to stay away from immaturity

3rd nomination would be... Ru19273728202727 (I forgot the #s). While he does post a lot of link-posts to discuss, some of them can be really interesting and spark lots of debate. He also creates interesting threads in all walks of life and is neither rude, vulgar nor hurtful. He deals with situations calmly and looks for a middle-ground instead of picking sides.

My 4th would be Shimmy. #shimmyIsInnocent

The Minecraft Forum used to do this.

(don't mix the Minecraft kids with things like this)

IMHO, there are not so much active members in this forum to make such a poll.

This is ridiculous. I'm against this.

Why? It seems like a harmless idea.

In no particular order:

Aside from that, I'd like to nominate JCO. He really pushed the quality of content during November and on through today. He's nice and respects other's opinions. He doesnt reply rudely, nor with vulgar, and he offers valuable insight.

I second the nomination for JCO, much for the same reason.

Now give me your votes petty civilians in exchange for the chance that your head stays on your body!

OK, fine. I nominate you just so I can keep my head.

I also nominate Yuli Ban, who probably devotes more time to the forum than anyone and somehow manages to make most of his posts interesting, despite making dozens of posts a day.

Harmless until everybody starts arguing because they didn't win.

Well, I'm hoping that we'll be mature enough not to argue about petty things such as this.

Most of the people on the forum are fairly mature so I don't think there would be drama over 'not winning'. Plus, anyone that does argue over something like that obviously needs to get a life ( if they are upset about not winning a competition on a internet forum )

"Liberterianism is a mental disease. A national health crisis and a threat to the future of this country...Worse than the threat from terrorism, asteroids, disease and yes global warming.
It is mindless anti-government idiocy. If it isn't turned back I predict the end of this country as a world power. Simply put the need to educate our entire population like any sane country is sen as wrong by the cult that practice this foolish idiocy. So is simple workers rights, child labor and every other sane policy of the modern world."
