why are conservatives so f***ing stupid?  they are to blame for everything that they blame other people for.

teen pregnancy:  caused by inequality

america has no jobs: automation no support for education

china taking over: because no americans are in graduate school

willingness to sacrifice survival for ideology aka climate denialism

Even the smartest among them are a standard deviation below someone more "liberal" in academia.  It's a conspiracy!  No you're just too fucking stupid and should be put to death like the cow you are for contributing nothing to the planet except more methane from your farts and butt scratching liike the dumbass ape that you don't believe we evolved from and to top it off you blow yourselves up with bombs when you get pissed off.

Can't we just stick all the redneck conservatives in the same room as the muslim conservatives and let them take care of the problem?

Ah I got that out of my system.  Time to post robot pornography all over stormfront.  Wait, probably not offensive enough.  Better make it black transexual robot pornography.

Titters...

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.

A broad, general definition of a Conservative: Someone who tries to keep things the way they are; a defender of the status quo. Operates heavily on the "don't fix it if it isn't broken" philosophy.

A broad, general definition of a modern American Conservative: A regressive, aggressive white male born in the 1940's, 50's and 60's who desperately wants to bring back values and attitudes as they were during their young adulthood whether their constituents like it or not, including but not limited to: forcing Christianity back into cultural dominance (if it were meant to be it would happen on its own), telling victims of rape what they can or can't do with their own bodies, forcing a return to the golden days of the oil and auto industry at the brutal cost of environmental health, removing the right to vote for racial minorities because "they're not capable of making the right decisions". They also oppose everything the rather ethnic-looking current president says and does on principle, and nobody has ever been that opposed to a president in recent history. Coincidence?

The two are somewhat different, y'see.

also why is climate change ONLY prevalent in the anglosphere?  I don't think China denies it is hurting the planet even when it refuses to sign things like kyoto.  Oh it must be a "coincidence" that all the "enlightened objective rationalists" exist solely in the US, UK, and AUS.  WTF?!?!

I feel sorry for them now. I honestly feel it's like trying to communicate with a dog or something. It is like lacking a sense. I was talking with a guy about free will yesterday and he was talking about taking responsibility regardless of circumstances and honestly I just felt like wow, that must be a heavy load you're carrying brother to blame yourself for everything that has gone wrong in your life even if it was beyond your control. It's like blaming one's self for the weather or something. Oddly he was the one saying to focus more on scientific reasoning in the conversation but mostly that would lean the conversation more towards determinism. He just couldn't see that contradiction and he was misunderstanding my motives because he misunderstood himself.

May I ask why you're so keen on calling conservatives names and insulting them instead of engaging in rational discourse?

Just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean they're always wrong. Like liberals, they're sometimes wrong and sometimes right (no pun intended).

Ehrmm.. I don't have 'black or white' views on people. I don't group people into categories. There are many conservatives that I loathe  and I loathe my state's government because they are completely not open minded and have utopic views of social conservatism, but yet some conservatives I agree with on some fiscal issues.

I think there are many stupid conservatives, many intelligent conservatives ( be they fiscal/or social conservatives ), as well as many intelligent liberals, as well as many unintelligent liberals.

I wish politicians would be more pragmatic and less driven by idiotic ideology. Especially when it comes to religion, religion should be up to an individual - no politician should praise a religion or force their religious views on others.

I hate how GOP politicians are always 'anti-government', however they only say that when it's useful for them. Also, they love government when it's theirs, and they can pass crap like the Patriot act, forbid people from being married, lock hundreds of thousands in prison just because they use drugs when yet in the same GOP states such as Florida, murderers get let go :/

"Liberterianism is a mental disease. A national health crisis and a threat to the future of this country...Worse than the threat from terrorism, asteroids, disease and yes global warming.
It is mindless anti-government idiocy. If it isn't turned back I predict the end of this country as a world power. Simply put the need to educate our entire population like any sane country is sen as wrong by the cult that practice this foolish idiocy. So is simple workers rights, child labor and every other sane policy of the modern world."

How can you have rational discourse with someone who is determined to kill themselves and you along with them? It's just stall tactics that we can't afford to waste time with anymore.

Ridiculous? There's not a single conservative stance that I have ever agreed with. I am only stating my opinion as someone who wants us to move on as the human race instead of attempting to grab on to the ignorant and negative aspects of our past, something that conservatism seems to be all about.

Its even worse that GOPers will complain about how Commiefornia and other blue states take money away from the government even though almost all red states actually receive more from the government then they give in return while blue states give more to the government then they return

Thank you very much. The Cylon War is long over, yet we must not forget the reasons why so many sacrificed so much in the cause of freedom. The cost of wearing the uniform can be high, but... (pauses) Sometimes it's too high. You know, when we fought the Cylons, we did it to save ourselves from extinction. But we never answered the question: why? Why are we as a people worth saving? We still commit murder, because of greed, spite, jealousy, and we still visit all of our sins upon our children. (we hear the voiceover in Apollo's ship) We refuse to accept the responsibility for anything that we've done. Like we did with the Cylons. We decided to play god, create life. (We see Starbuck listening in her cell.) When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play god, then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore.

For my part, I want to apologize. Berating people doesn't help anything, I just don't want to see everything die. I want to have children that will have a chance at happiness not end up as a slave race or dead in 100 years because our own gluttony destroys them. I want them to be free and to be able to dance, make love, and create. I feel like each time we come up with a compromise it will have a cost in lives and in years of drudgerous toil with no hope for the ones who perform in recompense for our current hedonism. I sometimes hope I am wrong, maybe I have looked at the equation wrong and there is some solution I don't see, but my fellow human beings fill me with doubt. I'm not sure if anyone here has seen battlestar galatica, but this is one of my favorite quotes from it. (See quote at top)

in my opinion we are fighting a war now, but the war is not against Russia, China, aliens, nanotechnology from the future, etc. It's against ourselves. Our ability to say no to ourselves and do what leads to survival, but one pperson can't do it by themselves, everyone has to do it (or at least 80%-90% of people) or else it still leads to Death. The more we focus on fighting rich people or fulfilling our greedy little wants or hating Putin or whatever the more death I see and the more we deserve it. I'm just tired. I want to put down the mantle of a lone voice crying out in the wilderness and just rest. Just let me rest.
