I like the sound of this project.
One stupid question: will the years 2000-2012 come under the Past Timeline?

I'm pretty sure they would move those years from the Future Timeline to the Past Timeline website. And as each year goes by, the same would happen.

^ As long as predictions don't change. Maybe for each prediction that transitions from future to past, there can be a corresponding entry about how close that prediction was to what actually happened.
I just don't want to see any predictions deleted or modified because they were off the mark... analyzing & understanding our mistakes is the best way to learn & refine our predictions

If something I say sounds like trolling/being stupid/offensive, please forgive me. I'm bad with people.

That sounds a little too wiki-like for me. I think while it's in development it should have somewhere to submit suggestions, but I think ultimately, it should be built in exactly the same way as Future Timeline, which works perfectly.

Umm... Can I ask what happened to it?

This.
Wouldn't be hard to collate the right and wrong predictions into a graph, then we can start to see how accurate we have been. Would be cool to see the correlation between how far in the future a prediction was and which of them were right. For example, out of 5 predicions made about 2 years in the future, 4 of them were right, but out of predictions made for 10 years in the future only 1 out of 6 was right. It would take a long time to get any meaningful data, but it could be interesting to see how accurate we are.

Oh God, I'm really DYING to get started on this! It will be very exciting to work on. However, the DNS still hasn't been set up yet, and I don't know how to configure it properly. To cut a long story short - the domain was registered with a separate company to my webhost for FT. I tried to input the settings in DirectAdmin, but it didn't work. I'm gonna contact my host this evening and ask for advice. This has been dragging on for ages and I really want to get started on it.

One thing that we need to make sure we don't do, is make the timeline europe-centric. That wouldn't be much of a timeline at all. Just like the futuretimeline is a global endeavor, so too must the past timeline.
I am more than willing to help, once my damn exams are over (wednesday)
The art of forgetting is inherent in human minds; the art of being forgotten is the normal fate of knowing. We as futurists don't accept that. In the panels of the Universe, we alone will remain standing; remain unforgotten.

Good news
Let me repost myself:
I have small suggestion on starting picture on past timeline.
You know that black picture?
http://www.futuretim...se_dark_era.jpg
It was on last entry of future timeline. (Universe is especially dead...)
So picture of first entry on past timeline could be completely white:
http://imageshack.us...beginningu.jpg/
There was so much energy in so small space at 10−43 seconds, so that picture is good to show universe at Plancks stage.
It could start with big BOOM.

Yep, the first picture will be pure whiteness.

The DNS has been sorted. At last!
I'll try to upload a homepage in the next few days.

FTP is now totally sorted, which means I can start working in Dreamweaver.
The final homepage will look nothing like this, btw - it's just a simple test page.
Might be a few weeks before it starts looking like FT, but I'll post more updates as it progresses.

^ Thanks.
There will be 7 main sections. Each of these will be further sub-divided:
Timeline of natural history (13.7 billion years BC – 200,000 BC) Timeline of human prehistory (200,000 BC – 3500 BC) Timeline of ancient history (3500 BC – 499 AD) Timeline of the Middle Ages (500 – 1499) Timeline of early modern history (1500 – 1899) Timeline of modern history (1900 – 2013) Timeline of the future (a few selected extracts from FutureTimeline.net, with a link to the main website)
