A 17-year-old hostess at the Chili’s on Constitution Avenue was reportedly attacked by a group of more than 11 women after she told them they could not all sit together, per the restaurant’s COVID-19 social distancing policies.
“I couldn’t believe, like over two for 25s, and three for 10s, I got attacked,” said Kelsy Wallace, 17, former hostess at Chili’s on Constitution Avenue in Baton Rouge.
Wallace is a straight A student at Broadmoor Senior High School at EBR Career and Technical Education Center. She’s also studying to be an EMT. She has worked at the Chili’s as a hostess since June to try to make some extra money.
“My general manager and my other managers tell us we cannot sit a table bigger than six because of the corona[virus]. We are supposed to separate them,” said Wallace.
That policy has caused some frustration between patrons and employees recently. On Sunday, Aug. 9, a group of 11 or more women came into the restaurant requesting to sit together at one table.
“And they got upset, so the first thing I did was go get my manager,” said Wallace.

Manchester Arena attack: Hashem Abedi jailed for minimum 55 years
18 minutes ago
The brother of the Manchester Arena bomber has been jailed for at least 55 years for the murders of 22 people.
Hashem Abedi helped his older sibling Salman to plan the atrocity that killed 22 men, women and children and injured hundreds more on 22 May 2017.
He was convicted after a court heard he was "just as guilty" as his brother, who detonated the bomb at the end of an Ariana Grande concert.
Abedi, 23, refused to leave his cell at the Old Bailey for the sentencing.
Mr Justice Jeremy Baker told the court "the stark reality is, these were atrocious crimes. Large in scale, deadly in intent, appalling in their consequences".

^ Not sure how many of you from outside the UK remember this? But it was a particularly appalling attack.
Lots of young kids blown up, during what should have been a fun night out. Hundreds more left injured and/or with psychological trauma.
This guy is an unfathomably evil, sub-human bag of dogshit and I hope he rots in hell.

Ah, I remember that. It was one of those terrorist attacks that came in the lead up to the 2017 election referendum that was shambles for the Tories, wasn't it? I recall there was another one a few days later.

Teen’s jaw smashed after asking guest to wear mask at Sesame Place
A 17-year-old employee at the Sesame Place children’s theme park near Philadelphia needed a tooth removed and double jaw surgery last week after he was punched in the face for asking two guests to wear face masks, according to reports.
Authorities arrested 39-year-old Troy McCoy on Wednesday at his apartment in the Bronx, according to The Washington Post. His 31-year-old roommate Shakerra Bonds was expected to turn herself in.
Both face multiple charges, including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault and criminal conspiracy, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The victim was not named.
The assault happened August 9. McCoy is accused of attacking the boy, while Bond allegedly hit another employee who tried to jump in to help.
The teen was working the entrance to the Captain Cookie’s High C’s Adventure ride when he reminded the pair about the park’s coronavirus policy, which requires masks be worn at all times except while dining, the Inquirer reports.
That’s when McCoy punched the boy in the face, according to police.
The force of the blow knocked the teen to the ground, and he had to be taken to the hospital, where he had surgery.
The infuriating part is that there's a not-insignificant number of people who would read this and think the teenager was the scumbag.

Japanese serial killer who baited suicidal people using Twitter gets death penalty
Published
TOKYO - Takahiro Shiraishi, the man who used Twitter to lure suicidal women to his home, where he drugged, robbed, raped and killed them before dismembering their bodies, was on Tuesday (Dec 15) given the death penalty.
Police discovered nine human heads and 240 bones stored in cooler boxes in his tiny 13.5 sq m apartment on Halloween in 2017. His home in Zama city, 90 minutes from central Tokyo, was dubbed by Japanese media as the "house of horrors".
The nine murders took place over three months from August to October 2017.
Eight of the victims were women aged 15 to 26. The only man was an acquaintance of one of the missing women, and was killed when he came too close to discovering Shiraishi's crimes.
Shiraishi, now 30, pleaded guilty to all the charges against him during his trial, which spanned 23 hearings and centred on his degree of culpability.

^^^Like somebody else quoted by WJ Fox said, half-jokingly, "they are trying to kill us." Still, amazes me that some folk think we should be more afraid of Joe Biden that the Trump family.
It is like...ummm....exactly what planet did you say you are living on?
Edit: I was responding to a Common Dreams article about Jared Kushner, not the Japanese serial killer story.

I can just imagine the reaction of a animal loving Trump supporter: "It must have been an Antfa activist who did the carving."

This motherfucker has now been charged with two counts of willful neglect of duty in connection with the Flint water crisis, which left residents with contaminated water and a Legionnaires outbreak.
