Imagine if Cyberpunk 2077 had a Cyberpunk Online component (like GTA 5 and GTA Online, only better in every way and with more cyberpunk)
They should make that once the single player game is done.

Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to September
Jan 16, 2020
Cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated new role-playing game from the studio behind the Witcher series, has been delayed. The game was previously expected on April 16; now it won’t launch until Sept. 17, five months later.
“We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done,” said Marcin Iwinski and Adam Badowski, co-founder and head of studio at developer CD Projekt Red, respectively, in a statement on Twitter. “Night City is massive — full of stories, content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”

Interesting how the reaction to the delay has been almost universally positive. People would rather wait and have a polished game than something rushed and unfinished.

I literally read the above post and went "yesssss!"
I think part of it is that it is so hyped that everyone is waiting for it all to be a lie so them saying "hey this is tough to live up to, its gonna take more time" feels like they appreciate how great people expect this to be and are not going to just Bethesda it or something.

I think everyone remembers how No Man's Sky went. We will be happy to take the wait if it means a complete and thoroughly vetted project

I can't imagine what goes on in people's minds when they make those death threats. I don't want to delve into their minds to find out.

It's crazy how much people emotionally invest in a game that hasn't even come out yet.

All those same assholes would still be making death threats if the game released with bugs or not to the Devs's specifications.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Neo: The World Ends With You all smashing into my synapses on the same day? Shit, I can't handle this.
As for the former, we're getting a lot of really good images out of it.

Well, it’s been released and seems to have needed at least another month of work to fix all the bugs and issues. I do like the look of the environments though.
Month? Try at least another year!
Lifepaths in a nutshell. Like there is literally nothing they can do to fix this and make it how they advertise it other than massive DLC packs that basically amount to full-fledged expansion packs or even new games.
Game's not bad beneath all the glitches, but it's nowhere near as good as the hype made it out to be. If it were perfectly patched to have no bugs, it'd still be an 8.5/10 game. Basically a more overtly futuristic Watch_Dogs 2 with some Deus Ex: Human Revolution thrown in.

Oh come on now.
Evan, if you're still here, do you remember that one comment you made a few years back in the CGI thread about how next-gen CG could possibly go revert to hyper stylization like out of Dire Strait's Money for Nothing video?
Here you go, it's here! It's real. I hope you're pleased with how far we've come.

Yeah, I'll wait a few months, or perhaps even a year before playing it.
Perfect example of why I never pre-order.
Btw, on a related note – is it just me, or do a very large percentage of games now appear to be "early access", yet available to purchase?
Going through my Steam wishlist, I have numerous games that look awesome, but aren't yet finished.
