This candy, oh my god! It's been a solid decade since I've had one. I need to find it just so I can taste sweet nostalgia.

Every substitute teacher I had back in the day gave these out, even in middle school. I remember them the most when we had this Down Syndrome sub for a LEAP test back in 2004. I literally got four of them.

It's been almost 10 years since the Blockbuster in my town closed down. I still remember going to another Blockbuster in New Orleans way back when, in the early 2000s (read: 2001, 2002 or so) to rent Dragon Ball Z movies and comedies— in VHS. I got one of their balloons and some Skittles just about every time.

WeatherStar XL on the Weather Channel. These cartoony icons were my childhood! From 2002 to 2007, at least. Then they changed to the more realistic looking models, and I never really got used to them.

These pull coupon machines at the store. The little blinking light on them...

I'd just keep pulling and pulling...

I caught the tail end of this. McDonalds with N64s inside? You bet! I still remember the game I kept coming back to play: Supercross 2000. Funny thing is, my dad already had an N64. So began my life of always making sure technology was by my side!

I know for a fact that another McDonalds I lived near had a GameCube set up inside but we just about never went there so I never got to fuck it up with greasy fingers.

Who remembers this?

One of my favorite parts of PE whenever it came around. I'd still play this if I could, but I don't own a huge multicolored circular sheet and/or have enough brain-damaged friends to take part in it.

Ohhh, the McDonalds Playplace.

mcdonaldsplayplace.jpg

One day, way back in, like, 1999 or something, my dad took me out with some of his stoner friends to McDonalds. I got some chicken nuggets and fries and then went to play in this thing as well as pound some N64 controller. And then, on the drive back, we listened to Soundgarden, and the CD went unto 4th of July. So began my love for doom metal.

'Twas a good day.

A teacher had shown us this video (2012/2013) during the music class.

Skip protection! What a luxury in the early 2000s...

The Nostalgia Machine: An awesome website where you type in a year and it gives a huge playlist of songs from that year

I'm not lying if I say these were one of the first things I saw on internet.

Good old Spore back in the days EA still allowed Maxis to have a say in the matter.

Still have a picture of my old space ship. I remember I didn't come in peace very often.

I always played the Space stage with cheats. Although I never completed it (I replayed the game many times).

I really miss those (simpler) times, playing in emulators.
