Villagers freak out after sheep gives birth to ‘half human, half devil lamb’

Thursday 22 Jun 2017 10:11 pm

Locals are accusing each other of ‘dabbling in witchcraft’ after a sheep gave birth to a ‘half human, half devil lamb’ this week.

Superstitious villagers in Chris Hani District Municipality, the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, turned on one another when the animal was born.

Some believe the sheep ‘has given birth to a demon’ after a human looking creature was born with hooves and pink skin.

Uranus ‘gapes wide open for blasts of hot wind’, scientists claim
Uranus ‘opens wide’ on a daily basis to let in blasts of solar wind – then it clenches shut again, scientists have claimed

The solar system’s rudest planet has been in the headlines a lot lately, as NASA prepares to probe its gassy depths.
Scientists from the Georgia Institute of Technology reviewed data from the Voyager 2 spacecraft, which sped past the planet more than 30 years ago.
The study suggests that Uranus’ magnetosphere, the region defined by the planet’s magnetic field and the material trapped inside it, gets flipped on and off like a light switch every day as it rotates along with the planet.

Perhaps, this was a result of a secret, guilt-ridden act of beastality that managed to miraculously conceive against impossible odds?

Amazing footage of Hull pattie floating in space and returning to Earth with a bump

17:22, 3 JUL 2017

History has been made today - the moment Hull’s most famous delicacy, the pattie, was launched into space.

BBC Radio Humberside's NASA-style space mission was set for lift-off at 8.55am, as it sent a Hull Pattie, along with a portion of chips sprinkled with chip spice, almost 38,000 metres into the stratosphere tethered to a high-altitude weather balloon.

Florida.

Florida Woman struck by lightning, then gives birth

A 26-year-old Florida woman was struck by lightning Thursday then gave birth to a baby boy.
Meghan Davidson was in a gated community in Fort Myers as a series of heavy storms moved through the area. The lightning strike occurred about 4:30 p.m.
First responders found Davidson on the ground when they arrived. She was then taken to a local hospital.
South Florida television station NBC 2 reported Davidson was a week away from her due date when the strike occurred, prompting doctors to deliver the baby, Owen.

I wanted to believe that she wasn't pregnant before the lightning strike.

Florida man has greyhound training license suspended after 12 greyhounds test positive for cocaine

At least 12 greyhound racing dogs in Florida have tested positive for cocaine, and their trainer has had his license suspended.
It's at least the second instance this year of racing greyhounds testing positive for cocaine. The dogs raced at Bestbet Orange Park in northeast Florida near Jacksonville. The state is home to 12 of the 19 dog tracks in the U.S., where 40 states have outlawed the sport.

Florida, WHY.

'Pink Panther' heist at London art fair as thieves escape with £3 million of gems

It was a heist so audacious it is unlikely to have mattered whether Inspector Clouseau or even Sherlock Holmes was on duty.

Last night, an audacious jewellery theft was likened to the infamous Pink Panther films having left detectives wondering how on Earth it could have happened.
Gems worth up to £3 million were deftly stolen from the exclusive Masterpiece art fair in Chelsea, west London, that positively swarms with round-the-clock security.

With no apparent witnesses, there was little to explain how or when the thieves targeted the stand belonging to Swiss jeweller Boghossian, leaving insiders forced to speculate.

Man trapped in Texas cash machine sends 'help me' notes

A Texas man who found himself trapped inside a cash machine slipped "help me" notes through the receipt slot.

The man, who police say was working on a renovation of the bank, left his phone in his vehicle before getting stuck in the drive-thru ATM's vault.

The unnamed workman was freed after shouting to ATM users, who continued withdrawing cash throughout his ordeal on Wednesday in Corpus Christi.

UK surgeon finds 27 missing contact lenses in woman’s eye

14 Jul 2017

A “blueish mass” of 17 contact lenses has been discovered in the eye of a patient who was scheduled for cataract surgery.

The 67-year-old patient was unaware that the contact lenses were missing, and later told surgeons that she thought her discomfort was due to dry eye and old age.

Specialist trainee ophthalmologist, Rupal Morjaria, told OT that another 10 individual contact lenses were discovered in the woman’s eye following further examination at Solihull Hospital.

The operating team, which included an ophthalmologist with more than 20 years of experience, were startled by the discovery, Ms Morjaria explained.

“None of us have ever seen this before,” she added.

“It was such a large mass. All the 17 contact lenses were stuck together. We were really surprised that the patient didn’t notice it because it would cause quite a lot of irritation while it was sitting there,” Ms Morjaria elaborated.

Robot Security Guard Commits Suicide in Public Fountain

The Knightscope security robot was supposed to patrol the Georgetown Waterfront, a ritzy shopping-and-office complex along the Washington Harbour in D.C. But the pressure was too much for the rolling robot, which can turn, beep, and whistle in order to maintain order. It rolled into fountain and drowned itself on Monday.

Sad thing is, this isn't even the first robot suicide.

Roomba 'commits suicide' on hotplate

Was this the world's first robot suicide?
A cleaning gadget could have become the first device to kill itself after it "climbed" onto a kitchen hotplate and burned to death.
The iRobot Roomba 760 reportedly rebelled against its owners in Kirchdorf, Austria, after being given one chore too many.
Local newspapers state that the switched-off cleaner had been left on the sideboard. But it somehow switched itself back on, crawled along the work surface and pushed a cooking pot out of the way.
By sitting on the hot plate, the gadget caught fire and quickly converted into a pile of ash.

nUjJIIp.jpg
The robot turned to ash after it scooted onto a hot surface at a family's Kirchdorf, Austria, apartment. The family was devastated, mostly because it almost burned down the building. (CEN)

This was in 2013. We still have no clue how it turned itself on or got on top of a stove. Fucker was dedicated to die.

Florida man tries to disguise himself as the Sun to escape the police after robbing a house

He’s not the brightest star in the Solar System.
Brett Eric Drachenburg, 51, is accused of stealing a towel, then trying to disguise himself as “The Sun,” the Northwest Florida Daily News reported.
Drachenburg allegedly entered a private home in Walton County, Fla. and proceeded to steal a towel. According to an arrest report obtained by The Huffington Post, Drachenburg “did unlawfully deprive the owner of the use of the towel.”
When deputies were investigating the incident, Drachenburg was “disguising himself as ‘The Sun’ with the intent to obstruct the due execution of law.”
The report does not specify how Drachenburg attempted to pull off such a deception.
Additionally, it is unclear whether or not the man was trying to pass as the actual sun, or as a copy of a publication, such as the Sun Sentinel, which might be referred to as “The Sun.”

Japan Puts Anime in Zoo and Penguin Adopts a Waifu

Various Japanese zoos have been collaborating with Kemono Friends and hosting special events. It’s been working, as social media has been showing an increase in zoo visits. The Tobu Zoo was hoping to bring otaku and children alike to their exhibits, but they accidentally turned one of their penguins into an otaku…
Japanese visitors noted that Grape-kun would spend every minute staring at, sitting next to, or praising Hululu as if she was a breathing mate. He was even neglecting the rest of his flock just to be with Hululu. The penguin was dedicated! a fucking weeaboo.

Deus ex machina: former Google engineer is developing an AI god

Intranet service? Check. Autonomous motorcycle? Check. Driverless car technology? Check. Obviously the next logical project for a successful Silicon Valley engineer is to set up an AI-worshipping religious organization.
Anthony Levandowski, who is at the center of a legal battle between Uber and Google’s Waymo, has established a nonprofit religious corporation called Way of the Future, according to state filings first uncovered by Wired’s Backchannel. Way of the Future’s startling mission: “To develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on artificial intelligence and through understanding and worship of the Godhead contribute to the betterment of society.”
