A spamming Wurf was recently spotted walking into a bar with a Trumpian. The Trumpian could not understand the dialect that the Wurfer was speaking, so he asked for a written note.

The Wurfer wrote him this note:  "spiem"

The Trump asked, "'speim' what does that mean?"

The Wurfer pointed to the menu, which included a choice for ham and eggs at the end of his finger:  "spiem"  he insisted.

Exasperated, the Trumpian blurted out "I still don't understand what you mean."

A Star Trek loving liberal at the bar explained:  "he means spam".

The wurfer nodded his head vigorously then pointed at the Trumpian's mouth and said "spiem".

Ok, maybe it is not that funny in the re-telling.  I guess you just had to be there.

  • Pup Dog: An innocent "li'l dog chile" puppy. One of the very few (cartoon) characters (in the Pogo comic strip) who walks on all fours, he frequently wanders off and gets lost. Being, as Pogo puts it, "'jus' a li'l ol' shirt-tail baby-size dog what don't talk good yet", he says only "Wurf!" and "Wurf wurf!", although for a time he repeats the non sequitur phrase "Poltergeists make up the principal type of spontaneous material manifestation."

This is an adaptation of a post I once read from a charming woman in Jamaica.  It was for a different forum, and I don’t remember all the words exactly as she wrote them. So some of this is original to me:

Welcome to the Future Timeline Discussion forum tour bus.  On this tour you will see many species of trolls and other interesting futurist specialists.  Some have yet to be cataloged by our classification experts.  We take no responsibility for their odd behavior. Please keep your hands inside the bus and do not feed the trolls.  We trust that this tour will better help you to understand the future.  However, please do not hold us liable if the experience causes severe depression or other mental health issues.  We hope that you enjoy your visit here today and will in the future come back to visit with us again soon.

We regret to inform our Wurf audience that we will soon be transferring certain operational parameters to another forum.  We hope that all Wurfian computers are up to handling the new parameters..  We do realize that many of our most loyal Wurfian readers have computers dating back to the 80s that have certain memory and processing issues. We do point out that many of these older computers cannot even read stuff in this forum and hope that Wurfians understand our need to keep up with the times.

We also find it very unfortunate that this transition has caused the prophet Exactly to point to it as a coming of the End Times.  While it is true that many historical records as contained in this thread may not survive the transition, we can assure you that we will continue to report on current events in the Land of the Wurfs, providing of course that certain moderators continue to indulge us in our whimsical longings...errrr...I mean in our determination to report the facts and nothing but the facts concerning Wurfian existence.

Stay tuned for further details.

Umm, 'Wurfians' largely own Apple, Microsoft, and Intel, do they not? Ninja's may have refined and improved some of the technologies, but when it comes to innovation and paradigm shifts, they will still be looking to the top end Wurfians. Over 97 % of the world's inventions come from Wurfians. Those Pandas can build our TV's, computers and Iphones, but Wurfians will be the ones crafting the next level. Oh, and as for the grizzly bears, they will remain largely end users of technology, at least for those with IQ's above 80 who have figured out how to use it.

Live from the Land of the Wurfs, it’s the end of the world!

(Brought to you by Bayered Aspirinstuff.  If  you think you've got headaches, our product may be right for you).

https://thebulletin....d-of-the-world/

Introduction:

(Bulletin of Atomic Scientists) “Saturday Night Live” cast members Colin Jost and Michael Che got some notice for taking up the recent IPCC report on climate change during their regular “Weekend Update” segment this week.

Excerpts from the YouTube clip:

Colin Jost: “We don’t really worry about climate change because it’s too overwhelming, and we’re already in too deep. It’s like if you owe your bookie $1,000, you’re like, ‘oh yeah, I gotta pay this dude back.’ But if you owe your bookie $1 million, you’re like, ‘I guess I’m just gonna die.’”

Michael Che: “I keep asking myself why don’t I care about this? Don’t get me wrong, I 100 percent believe in climate change, yet I’m willing to do absolutely nothing about it… I think it’s because they keep telling us we’re gonna lose everything, and nobody cares about everything, people only care about somethings. Like, if Fox News reported that in 2030 climate change was going to take away all the Confederate statues, there’d be recycling bins outside every Cracker Barrel and Dick’s Sporting Goods. … You want white women to care about the environment? Tell them if they don’t do something about climate change, we’re going lose all the yarn. White women love yarn. No more hats, no more scarves, no more of those ridiculous socks you knit for your dog.”
