Exit polls are due in about an hour (22:00 GMT).

Below are previous exit polls and results. Remember, it's 326 needed for a majority:

Reports of students from Keele University being turned away from polling stations, despite being registered.

Even if they weren't registered, can't voters register at polling stations?

I dunno how, but Corbyn pulled it off. The exit polls are suggesting a hung parliament.

If it's true (and it probably is), you're basically watching live the end of Theresa May's career. I could say the same thing about how she started with a 20 point lead over Labour that was still growing and blew it, or how it's the equivalent of Clinton's loss.

But the truth is, May is holding the reins to a car others now influence, so when something goes wrong, she's the one who'll catch the blame.

This type of thing reminds me of Canadian elections. If someone typically calls an election before their original mandate is over voters nearly always harshly punish them for it. Shades of Alberta 2015 in my view where they called an unnecessarily early election that original polls said they would win and lost catastrophically to the opposition. This may not be so bad, but from the moment I heard the election announcement I was like: "This won't end well." LOL.
