“I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.”
― Douglas Adams, The Salmon of Doubt

I think these are probably some pretty good rules to understand people's general attitude to technology, among people who are not tech enthusiasts.

Another good quote:

The President is very much a figurehead — he wields no real power whatsoever. For this reason the President is always a controversial choice, always an infuriating but fascinating character. His job is not to wield power but to draw attention away from it. On those criteria Zaphod Beeblebrox is one of the most successful Presidents the Galaxy has ever had- he has already spent two of his ten presidential years in prison for fraud. - Douglas Adams

I sold books for my bookstore at a recent concert and guess who the secret headliner was? Mutha fuckin Anti-Flag!

These guys \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/

Anyhow they're really cool dudes and I spent some chatting with their record label's organizer before the show. They offered my collective some stage time in between their set at their next Pittsburgh concert in February. That means I get to speak on stage with Anti-Flag! I don't know what I'm going to say yet, but it's really exciting nevertheless. They also gave me a really cool record and signed it for my friend, just like the bookstore before, I'll get you guys pictures at some point. It's a limited run emerald green thing that you can't buy anywhere!

If it's so bad I have to do any of that, I'm holding it. That doesn't generally happen though.

Wasn't there a Russian one several years back?

Awesome questionnaire. I would be ticking most of those boxes.   I would like to add 'do you hover above the toilet seat to take a dump!'

And 'do you dry your hands with paper,  use the paper to open the door,  then take a 3 point shot at the bin from the door'
