After the state of New York gives the police access to "The Grid," a new technology that allows people to purchase anything with a quick scan of their fingerprint, crime drops almost instantly. However, they also discover that certain people are popping up in two places at once.
It's great! Looks like 15-minute pilot for TV series. Way too much filtering, I didn't like glasses (unless it's not literal, just way to show how wearing person would see it). Apart from that, really great. Nice idea and execution, nice world building. Highly recommended.
A realistic twist for this featurette would be for the police to discover at the 7:00 mark that the woman had actually done nothing wrong, the network had just malfunctioned, and then for her to file a multi-million dollar civil rights lawsuit against the NYPD. Evidence brought forth during the case would reveal numerous technical problems with the network that jeopardized its integrity and the privacy of its users, ultimately forcing its dismantlement.
The name would switch from "Plurality" to "False Positive."

Sci-Fi Short Film "FTL" presented by DUST
A really optimistic take on the kind of neighbors we may have. It could have easily gone the other way, the guy being devoured alive or blasted the moment he exited FTL near their ship. Equally likely he could've been probed anally. Basically all possibilities exist at this point.
