Metamaterials would have zero or negative refractive index. So, how would they look to the human eye?Would they look very weird and surreal to the eye? What would happen for exemple if you put a mirror made of metamaterials in a wall?Or a window or an aquarium which glass is made of transparente metamaterials? How would we see things and the fishes through them?Talking about fishes, what would happen if you put a fish in a pool wich water has a negative refraction index?Would the fish appear to be floating in the air above the water?

What about metasurfaces and plasmonic metamaterials?Could we even touch a metassurface?Or create exotic matter and antigravity with metasurfaces and solid metamaterials?
