I remember I got into an argument here that Mercury was much easier to colonize than I think Mars.

 

Considering how hot Mercury is that sounds incorrect.

Considering how hot Mercury is that sounds incorrect.
On the surface, Mercury may seem inhospitable, but .7 meters down and in certain latitudes around the poles, it's pretty good temperature conditions.

You also have to take note for the abundant amount of energy present on Mercury vs Mars. Terraforming-wise though, Mercury would be a dumb choice, but human colonization I'd choose Mercury 9/10.

I want proof.

The window of opportunity going to Mercury is much more frequent than Mars. When Mars hides behind the sun, Mercury colonists with their rich tans are there laughing, sending their solar sail ships effortlessly through space.

Can't you just ride a train around Mercury and be in perpetual clement climes? 

Haven't watched the vid btw...
