Yeah, it seems as if he's trying so hard to keep himself from falling apart for the sake of winning reelection, but it's still so glaringly obvious to us.

Trump re-tweeting a video in which a supporter yells "white power".

(possibly a distraction from the Putin/Afghanistan story?)

And for some incomprehensible reason, his hardcore supporters still think he's the greatest President ever.

They'll make the best test subjects for psychiatry research on extreme cases of cognitive dissonance.

Associated Press confirms: Trump knew

"Intelligence officials told the AP that the president was briefed on the matter earlier this year."

Plus: "The administration discussed several potential responses, but the White House has yet to authorize any step."

Simply astonishing. You have a President who is lying to the entire country about the killing of its own citizens by a foreign power.

^ I suppose we'll find out just how much of a Fascist Trump truly is come this Nov. Though, even if he does leave willingly, what becomes of his rampant truly Fascist-like supporters? The thing that separates Trump from Hitler/Mussolini, is that I still do not think that he truly cares about the actual ideology itself like Bannon would. It's mainly his supporters who are doing this and he is failing to reign them in, all the while setting up the stage for them to go to even further extremes.

He can still greatly damage the country even if he does step down willingly, by claiming he was screwed out of the election with many of these American Fascistos believing it. Really wish I could be in Canada before all this trash takes place.

There are some who worry about the scenario of Trump seriously contesting the 2020 election results:

https://www.motherjo...trophe-in-2020/

The article refers to the:

The National Task Force on Election Crises

https://www.electiontaskforce.org/about

Mission Statement:

The mission of the cross-partisan National Task Force on Election Crises is to ensure a free and fair 2020 presidential election by recommending responses to a range of election crises. The only electoral outcome the Task Force advocates is that the election is free and fair.

The National Task Force on Election Crises is a diverse, cross-partisan group of more than 40 experts in election law, election administration, national security, cybersecurity, voting rights, civil rights, technology, media, public health, and emergency response. The recommendations of the Task Force are the result of thoughtful consideration and input from all of the members and therefore do not fully reflect any individual Task Force member’s point of view—they are collective recommendations for action.

The principles of justice define an appropriate path between dogmatism and intolerance on the one side, and a reductionism which regards religion and morality as mere preferences on the other.   - John Rawls

Disapproval of Trump coronavirus response jumps to 60 percent amid surge: poll

By Marina Pitofsky - 07/17/20 08:12 AM EDT

Sixty percent of Americans disapprove of President Trump’s handling of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as COVID-19 cases continue to spike across the country, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

The survey released Friday found that 38 percent of Americans approve of the president’s handling of the pandemic, down from 46 percent who said the same in May and 51 percent of respondents in March.

The president’s disapproval rating on his handling of the pandemic is up from 53 percent in May and 45 percent in March.

Over half of survey respondents, 52 percent, disapprove “strongly” of the president’s leadership amid the outbreak, marking an increase from 36 percent in March.

The poll also found that Trump’s ratings on his management of the pandemic have dipped among groups that have been his strongest supporters.

What, nobody write about the Mary Trump book?  It set a new record in sales for Simon & Schuster for the opening day, selling nearly 1 million copies.

The claims in the book are manifold:

Trump accused of calling South Koreans 'terrible people' in front of GOP governor's South Korean-born wife

Republican governor Larry Hogan of Maryland claimed Donald Trump disparaged the people of South Korea in front of his wife, who is South Korean.

Mr Hogan made the claims in a Washington Post editorial savaging Mr Trump's leadership during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Mr Hogan, the remarks were made during a private dinner hosted by the Republican Governors Association. The governor recalls Mr Trump talking about how much he respected Chinese President Ji Xinping, how much he enjoyed playing golf with Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and how well he'd gotten along with Kim Jong-Un, the dictator of North Korea.

"Then, the jarring part: Trump said he really didn't like dealing with President Moon from South Korea. The South Koreans were 'terrible people,' he said, and he didn't know why the United States had been protecting them all these years," Mr Hogan wrote. "'They don't pay us, Trump complained.'"

Mr Hogan recalled watching his wife's reaction to the president insulting her home country.
