If we switched to vertical farms we wohkdn't need any pesticides since they're a closed system. That would require mass infrastructure mobilization in both energy and agriculture on the scale of wwII. Which is what we should be doing at this point given that the death of all insects is more dangerous than global warming.

This is why no one take the green movement seriously.  Yes of course, changing agricultural regulations in 200 or so countries and overhauling the entire global food production system (which is currently feeding 7billion people and cannot be interrupted) is totally free and low effort
