AI-powered synthetic brains will allow humans to operate 500 versions of themselves at once, according to the man behind Amazon's voice assistant.

"People will not be able to tell if they are interacting with you or your AI proxy.
"Right now, you could be doing two interviews at once. Or there could be 500 versions of you, running 500 interviews."

What's more, artificial minds will be able to learn before passing them on to other versions.

In the near future it will be very strange if a person has only one body.  People use to think that the person is something indivisible and the process of thinking is sacred.
The first big shock will be the 5-level autopilot.  Then it will be human cloning. And after that - the transfer of the mind.
Human mind within new synthetic body - do you imagine what opportunities will open up?

The optimal body form is to have no fixed form at all. Instead, your mind would be able to remotely control different types of bodies depending on the moment's needs.

Being able to divide your attention in 500 directions at once to pilot 500 different bodies also has obvious advantages.

There is no need to use all 500 bodies - but the possibilities are exciting.
You definitely need to read (or listen to) "Ancillary Justice" by Ann Leckie.

500? No. Maybe 2 or 3.

Ummm....I thought that sort of thing was called "schizophrenia."

The principles of justice define an appropriate path between dogmatism and intolerance on the one side, and a reductionism which regards religion and morality as mere preferences on the other.   - John Rawls

That concept might be used to explore multiple planets and star systems at the same time and retransmit those experience at the original body

We have two eyes, and why not have 1000? What does this change in principle?

Data synchronization is widely used in computer technology. No magic here.
