If you're going through hell, keep going. - Winston Churchill

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. - Abraham Lincoln.

Hmm, interesting.
I'll give 'em a 7.
He'll do what I want him to do, nothing more and nothing less, and he'll be a fairly chillaxed president.

Eacao, if you don't mind me asking, what score do you give him?
So far it seems 1. But, for the sake of justice, I'll vote in 2024.

In other news, I’m curious who gave old mate a 3 and why
Who do you think?
I gave him a 3 because firstly, he's not physically fit to be President. VP Harris now seems to be handling his phone calls with foreign leaders, for example. He ought to be able to retire and live out his last years in peace rather than have to deal with the pressures of the Presidency. When I watch Biden speak, I'm not even sure if he's really there inside. But aside from that, the administration as a whole basically wants to take America back to the Obama years and pretend that's a good outcome. The Obama years weren't good years for America, and there are many reasons why they ended with the election of Trump. Staying the course of centrist neoliberalism will just end up with America's problems continuing to get worse at an ever-quickening pace - by which I mean, taken to their logical conclusion, America will become indistinguishable from a Third World country. In many places, it's already like that and in some places, it's even been like that for decades. There are constructive ways to handle national decline, and there are destructive ways. Biden's brand of centrism is definitely the latter. He's the ultimate personification of an ossified, sclerotic elite which can no longer respond to its problems in a creative way - to the extent it even recognises its problems. They just keep on using the same old failed approaches again and again, rinse and repeat, until eventually the system breaks. Biden's regime is highly reminiscent of the Soviet politburo in the last years of the USSR. Then again, I could say the same for Trump.
The reason I gave him a 3 rather than a 1 is really just because I'd reserve a 1 for inept dictators who lead their countries into total ruin during their time in power and a 2 for leaders who are almost as bad as that. As much as I don't like Biden's regime, at least it's not as awful as these... yet...
For reference, I'd give a 1 to Hitler or Yeltsin and a 2 to Gorbachev or Mugabe. Perhaps by 2024, I might give Biden a 2 (if he's even still alive by then). Or on the other hand, he might pleasantly surprise me and I'll give him a 4.

How would you fix America then? Let's imagine you're President. What actions would you take?
I gave him a 10. Marxist-Bidenism is an ideology shaking the American core. First, Biden seeks a union of the divided american people or in other words, a union of the american proletariat. In the steps of Lenin, Biden will continue to consolidate debt into government ownership for the eventual transition into state socialism, while pushing for mass economic reform. Through democratic reform and making education accessible (by way of forgiving student debt and tuition reform), Biden will increase proletariat representation in government, restructuring American government from a perverse bourgeois plutocracy under reactionary petty-bourgeois supported Republicans into a bourgeois republic, and him being a student of Marx and Engels, knowing that this type of government has the greatest chance of peaceful revolution into the socialist state.
Secondly, not since Mao has there never been such a strong leader. In the face of overwhelming odds, he has overtaken the polls, chosen by the american proletariat as president over reactionary fascist Donald Trump, taking control of the government back from the elite and into the hands of the common man. Biden, in his undying effort for revolution, has plenty of examples where he put bourgeois hired scum in their place. His rambles and slurs are not a symbol of age but of tire from working so hard to push forward proletariat interests.
And I conclude, by the end of these 8 years, Biden will have turned around global warming, and rid the world of capitalism once and for all. All these naysayers can't simply look past the rhetoric and true socialist pragmatism, and see what he really is. I can only shed a tear in respect of the heavy mask he must've worn until he can win the presidential office, and now, that mask can finally be taken off and rest upon the monument he will build for us all.

Yes, just an old man. He must already live in peace, sit by the sea, watch the sunset, recall the days of youth, hug the grandchildren and great-grandchildren... He accomplished a lot, no need to turn the last years into embarrassment.
If it was Harris instead of him, that's completely different case.

PS excellent text anyway.

How would you fix America then? Let's imagine you're President. What actions would you take?
I was actually about to answer you for a second - and I do have an answer, but honestly Will, why would I bother answering you when all you ever do is jump onto my posts to passively-aggressively signal to everyone your moral outrage whilst never offering any counter-arguments? You can't accuse me of being "radicalised" in one thread and then hop into another to suggest Biden should be above all criticism. If you actually want an answer (and I don't think you do), then you've got some explaining to do.
5 because I'm concerned that he's too slow on getting the vaccine out to everyone.
I understand the /s but wasn't you yourself the faithful bidenist?

Not such a big difference, actually. As one men said: Western "progressism" is essentially neoliberalism plus gay pride, while Russian "spirituality" is neoliberalism plus processional cross.
I'm not a big fan of neoliberalism, nor I wish to choose between two additions...
One could conceivably envision someone worse, like Big Brother or Voldemort. Thus I gave him a 2.
edit: or the computer from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. He might be worse than Biden.
3/10
I disagree with anyone over 70 being president until life extension technology, therefore, he is already five or below. Another point lost to the creep factor I can't get rid of with him. Then still another point lost over the general blasé type of presidency, especially in light of automation/AI challenges that are ramping up this decade already. We need a visionary and a technology enthusiast more than we need status quo. But, he is not a one because he is tolerable to listen to at least (some experience making speeches, though getting old), and his policies are mostly in the okay range. Former President Trump was a 1 for me because again he was over 70 years old, so docked 5 points already. He also had the creep factor, so minus one point. It was really bad listening to him (didn't make sense half the time, bad speech maker), another docked point. Last two were for the extremely authoritarian bent that also creeped me out (reminded me of President Moi, who was President of Kenya for over 20 years, or President Mugabe, who I couldn't stand because of his...nuttiness as he got older), and that I disagreed with a lot of his policies (though not all of them). I will say though, at least President Moi and President Mugabe were good at speeches. Presidents that are hard to listen to are the worst, especially when they are on TV all the time, as presidents usually are.
Eacao, if you don't mind me asking, what score do you give him?
I haven't scored him yet. My info sources are super in flux. The right wing sources all hate him and present terrible, terrible views. Left wing sources--which in my eyes are effectively synonymous with the Big 6 sans Fox (who produce propaganda for another market)--I outright don't credit.
I'm going to wait for more informative sources from the likes of the IWP, AEI, CSIS etc.
