I don't recall this being discussed before- has a legitimate 'transhuman' already appeared? (For me, that would involve them having something replaced, i.e. cybernetics or prothesia, but what's used to replaced the biological system/limb has to be BETTER than what was replaced, so unless it was something like your elbow, I doubt it)

More approxed, however, when do you think the first transhuman will appear and through what field (Mechanical, cybernetic, or biological)?

Well we are already starting to give people sight who have been blind their entire lives, so in a sense they could be transhuman by that definition, but if you mean in comparison to the average human i think synthetic limbs better than human limbs will probably appear around the 2030s.

Yeah, we have eye replacements, but they can't match biological eyesight. When cyber-eyes can surpass the capabilities of our natural eyes, then I'd consider it transhumanism.

Since I am currently short sighted, I wouldn't mind a replacement that could allow me to read road signs a mile away :p

By using tech that can help them perceive colors outside the ability of human vision as well?

Cool, So can you see x-rays, heat waves, and the electro-magnetic waves generated by humans?
