What do you base this all off? A lot of it seems to be fantasy and not foreseeable. Also, if you're going to post this in 'visualising the future' section, provide some sort of visuals..

2021- Child Workers: Because of the advancements in holographic technology and 6G free world wide broadband many people work at home or work during yearlong vacations. The average 14 year old makes just under $30,000. The Education industry is preparing for a plan to allow select students who excel at business stay home and teach themselves, computers.

2021- Anti-Techs Cause Division: A group of Anti-techs are now living in poverty declaring that the human race depends too much on technology and will ultimately lead to its destruction. Are they right?

Late 2021- Save Africa Campaign Completed: But not how you think. The self-proclaimed dictator of Africa unites the poverty stricken land. How did he do it? By pairing with technological research labs he created the world’s first food replicator, solving one of Africa’s many problems. The food replicator is connected to the World Wide Web and you can select the type of food you want and it instantly materializes. This food portal is now the center of many major African cities.

2022- GameRoom Goes Hollywood: GameRoom sales have gone through the roof and now GameRoom, is the world's fastest growing start up. Everyone wants a Game Room! Buying out their competitors the company which perfected this technology is now selling it to Hollywood! Holographic movies will soon be a reality forcing many actors out of work as everyday people can choose which character they want to play in real life simulations through a vast hollywood database.

Late 2022- International Biological Currency (IBC): Religious groups claim that it’s the mark of the beast! Credit Cards are no more as the world’s first International biological money system is put in place. Thumbprints are recorded by the police and using a little microchip in the thumb you can interact with computers, and barcodes, buying things without lifting a finger! Ok maybe one.

Summer 2023- iButton--Transforming Desks: Computer screens disappear as every table and wall has a “iButton”. The button, when pressed turns your desk or workstation into an electronic device. The screen instantly materializes by lasers underneath. The desk is much more spacious now.

2024- We Are Not Alone!: A classified SETI project started in the 1980s to search for alien binary coded signals embedded into space radio waves have picked up a “disturbance in the silence that is space.” Are we really alone in the galaxy? The signal is weak but it definitely is a signal!

Late 2024- Microsoft's AI Network: Microsoft moves away from the PC as it sets up "humanlike companions" for everday people. The world’s first AI network goes online through a private server run by Microsoft, UN peacekeeping forces and maintained by DARPA. The programmers made sure they did not forget the three robotic laws!!!

2027- Hover Cars Take Off: The Highway in the sky is complete as the world’s first hover cars take to the skies. Actual road cars however, are preferable because of their 200+MPG rate and easy customization. You need a pilot license in order to operate the vehicles.

2027- Accidental WWIII: A quantum computer almost starts WWIII as nuclear launch codes were implanted into the system they got stuck. The computer went through cycles and cycles of different scenarios. The computer which ran the army’s Statistic and Analysis division was causing all types of different malfunctions for the world’s remaining nuclear warheads. The computer is too valuable for the army to get rid of so they scrap Nuclear Arms!

2028- Immortality Within Our Grasp: Rising from the dead is no longer a miracle as back up neuro-processors connected to the brain via a memory database can rewind your life if sudden unexpected death were to occur. If you get shot doctors just need to press the rewind button and the brain will act as though it never happened because it didn’t.

2029- Space Race 2.0: As the space race continues who will be the first to go to Saturn? Russia now has a base on the moon as the population there reaches the 100 person milestone mark. NASA prepares for the first manned mission to Mars.

More To Come..........

It's called visualizing the future! This is me visualizing the future! I don't expect it to happen that's why they are predictions. Predictions can and probably will be wrong. But this is what I think and hope might happen. Don't hate. Edit: Also I do have pictures for about every date here but I that would take a long time to upload. I have made an interactive version. Which should be up on the net sometime before the holidays. While some of this may be made up futuretime line is as well and this is based off futuretimeline which has sources.

I am not "hating", just asking for quality of predictions rather than just throwing anything out there. If you are just going to throw anything out there without any evidence, expect people to criticise it. This in turn should make you strive to make them better and more refined.

My Source is FutureTimeline and my imagination/current tech trends and where they are going. I don't plan on writing a book about this stuff although, I could, but it would never get published in today's market. These are predictions that could very well happen Not unlike FutureTimeline, it's just different and I thought it would be fun to put up. After all, what is the section, visualizing the future supposed to be about then?

2030- Thumbers: The Black Market is full of "thumbers." Thumb harvesting is becoming the number one crime around the world. It takes a while for the Biological network to realize that you’re dead so before your death is registered your assets are basically free to anyone with a knife! Security procedures are underway.

2032- High Tech Bridges: Africa is now connected with the Middle East through a new high tech physical bridge; next up, the US and Russia. Many people are wondering whether such a bridge is indeed needed or practical.

2032- Resource Wars: The East Asian resource wars are the solution to Global Population control debate. Millions are being killed as the resources dwindle.

2033- Space Case: While the world prepares for Mars, the outer space settlers are becoming increasingly unstable. Russian bases are stealing from the US resources and vice versa. Psychologists are questioning the long term side effects of prolonged space living.

2034- Robotic Rights: Pro-lifers debate scientists on the life of Robots, as many people buy the robots and then discard of them after their task is complete. Scientists maintain that the AI is at such a low level the debate itself is ridiculous.

2035- Hovercars Recalled: Hover cars see dwindling sales as better and self-driving road cars compete for the market. Not many people are using the Highway in the Sky and the FAA is mad at the car companies for undergoing such a project!

2036- Aliens Decoded: The Binary code of the Alien language is now being understood and studied by NASA and SETI. MIT students look forward to talking with the aliens as they prepare to send a message back into space!

2037- Mission to Mars: Mars! The single most watched event in human history is the first manned mission to Mars. You will be telling your grandchildren where you were when the Mars Explorer space shuttle lifted off. The Internet actually went down from so many people watching it online. It was recorded a record 5 Billion people tuned to NASA TV at once to witness it for themselves.

2038- The Tri-National Union: US, China, and EU to form a tri-national union? Some conspiracy theorists are laughing at us now as serious talks are underway to form a powerful new entity and governing system.

2039- Increasing Isolation: Virtual Reality is so incredibly life-like that many people do not even have the need to leave their homes. Shopping online and smart delivery systems make it almost unnecessary to go outside while the robot slaves fulfill our every need.

More to Come.......

Okay, but your predictions should at least be plausible and not pulled out of your ass. Therefore, I'll refute the ones so obviously full of shit as to be considered impossible.

2012 - There is no global warming debate and there hasn't been for quite some time. It is not contested by any national or international science academy whatsoever. This would be akin to saying "Biologists debate the evolution/creation controversy!" There is no controversy in either case. There is a universal consensus.

2013 - There's no way cash registers are leaving in 2 years. I've never even heard of paying with your smart phone and by then not everyone is going to have one. I know I won't. Not every business is going to be able to equip that either because it's going to be pretty damn expensive. Even the technology to do this is available (and it won't be) it'll cost way too much for both parties.

2014 - We can barely grow tissues much less organs with stem cells. When we do manage to grow organs (and it certainly won't be by 2014) it will be very experimental meaning the organs probably won't work and definitely won't be individualized. Even then you need surgery to implant these organs, meaning you'll need a 10 year + expert in a field that doesn't even exist yet. And you think the black market will do this?

2015 - Facebook Lifestream? That's straight up illegal and no one will want to watch that. So even if it weren't illegal, Facebook still wouldn't do it because it would cost a shitload and generate little revenue.

2016 - Way too far off. No one wants to live on the moon and even if they did we have no idea how to make it self sustainable. There has never been an artificial ecosystem. There's no water there. It'd cost enough money to get people there.

2016 - Holographic videogames. Not going to happen by 2016 in the slightest. 3D holograms were just shown to be possible this year (Sony) and the resolution sucks and there's no color. Don't even start on all the different calculations necessary for a videogame. Even if possible by then, it'd cost a few million dollars at least.

2016 - Woolly mammoth maybe, but not dinosaurs. We don't have a single dinosaur genome and we're never going to get one.

2017 - Teleportation? Are you fucking kidding me? Of a fucking rat? First of all, that's fucking impossible. Second of all, what? Really?

2017 - RBI act. It's not going to be even close to Deus Ex by 2017. No one is going to have significant robot implants.

2017 - Smart fashion. Will require significant nanotechnology which simply will not be possible at that time and will be millions of dollars when it is first possible.

2018 - Brain interface. Pretty much impossible by your definition.

April Fools - I have no idea where the inspiration for that came from because virtual reality won't exist by that time and "drug enhancements" don't exist period and there is no "terrorist group" that has ever hinted that they would want to do something like that.

2019 - Will cost to much money and is unnecessary.

2020 - Child workers. You have got to be fucking kidding me. I'm not even going to take the time on this one because if you think this is at all a possible scenario then you need help.

2021 - There's not going to be an Africa dictator (see Arab Spring) and food replicators will not exist at all.

2022 - Do you realize how much a fucking room costs? Like just a room? So no, there will never be a "game room." Ever.

2024 - If convincing AI's exist, they certainly won't be centralized by Microsoft.

2025 - Designer babies will still cost a lot.

2026 - Bullshit.

2027 - There's won't be hovercars. It costs too much money to raise something of that weight much less actually manuever it. Not to mention how much it'd have to exhaust to be able to overcome the force of gravity.

2027 - Accidental WWIII. I'm speechless.

2028 - lol we're not going to be able to back up our brains in less than 20 years.

2029 - Saturn is made of gas meaning you can't actually land on it lol. The gravity alone would crush you.

No, your source is your own imagination. I suspect you have a tendency to put blind faith into things that have no evidence behind them. FutureTimeline is about predicting plausible things, even if it does need some work. The far future stuff is mostly just speculation because it's the far future. Anything could happen. If it doesn't break any physical laws it probably will happen eventually. FutureTimeline isn't about making shit up that is so laughably incorrect.

2040- Increasing Intelligence: The AI network now has the same emotional and instinctive processes as a mouse!

2041- Nuclear Power Widespread: Even though the nuclear warheads were destroyed last decade research into nuclear energy did not stop. The world’s first nuclear powered homes and cars are making their way onto the commercial market. Nuclear power has already replaced electricity in larger computers and the AI network

2041- Water Crisis Hits Europe: Europe facing water crisis as the snow melts from their many mountains.

2042- Unknown Deaths: The death toll from the resource wars is underestimated as new numbers compute that nearly one third of the population killed each other off.

2042- Apple Announces iAm: Computers get internal as a new product from Apple can enhance your brain to allow third party computer apps onto your brain sensors. Allowing you to instantly know the weather today, or remember to buy milk. Kind of like the old Apps from years ago.

2044- Iron Kids: No more human troops as AI now have the capability of a young human brain. The military can easily train the “kids.” Pro-lifers are still raging on about slavery and child soldiers!

2045- Alien Reply: MIT has sent back the message to the alien life forms the message reads, “We come in peace.” It may be a long time before a reply if any comes back.

Late 2045- The Global Community Emerges: The world becomes united as the Global Community emerges. China is the voice behind the GC.

2046- Hover Cars Recalled: Due to popular demand Hover cars are recalled as people refuse to buy them the companies call for more research and development.

2047- The "NO" Glitch: An AI has said no to a human. Forcing recalls on most of the infant robots. A scientist figured out that there was a glitch in the system and has updated the software quickly and quietly.

2048- Facebook Announces DeathStream: People reminisce on the past as Facebook and Virtual Reality brings you the deathstream + celebrities . Elvis can now be streaming live in your living room, and you can communicate with your dead loved one through computer stimulation and memory programs.

Late 2049- Martian Base: Mars base established to study possible ancient life on Mars and terra-formation procedures

December 25, 2050- Religious Freedom: A group of the last remaining Christians ban together to spread God’s words they claim that the world as we know it is lost. God never intended us to make the AI system, or to enhance our bodies using technology in them. They go against the system and are now labeled as the terrorists and extremists.

2051- Road Cars Secure Global Economy: The Hover Car recall shook Wall Street as they feared another Great Depression. However, Road cars have won the battle! 200 MPH and very compact, they operate on a complete automated system and renewable energy from properly disposed waste AKA your garbage! Meanwhile the car companies are heavily researching why the hover cars failed and plan to re-release them within five years.

2052- iSphere: "The World at Your Finger Tips." Apple just announced its new circular holographic media center! Due to advancements in Bubble technology, spherical screens for multimedia internet browsing and multi gesture technology. Many people find it fun to watch TV again! The iSphere 1.0 will be available for commercial use by the end of the decade. Even though, many old TV stations are not airing anymore you can still enjoy old classics by moving the different liquid screens. Apple is thinking about a new TV channel.

2054- Robots Dominate: Robots and Androids now consume many remedial tasks for humans. The differences between the robots and the androids are not exactly known, however the older robots are being discontinued to make way for more humanoid shape.

2055- The Green Super Grid: Half of the Rain Forest is destroyed as human resources dwindle. Resources are dwindling so the countries create a super power grid. It is charged by outer space solar panels and incorporates nuclear energy to and from the homes, offices, buildings etc…

Late 2055- Currency Disappears: The concept of currency is gone replaced by a complete computerized system. A one world e-commerce system descendant of gold and the US dollar dominates the businesses. More nations join the Global Community as the system grows larger and more powerful the nations need to figure out how to erase old tensions and create lasting bonds.

2056- Microsoft's Thinktop: Microsoft's Thinktop devices have replaced the old laser screen computers and control most the house and your likeness as it is controlled by a piece of your mind. A computer chip placed in the brain hooks your mind up to this little black box!

2057- A Martian Milestone: Mars colony reaches the 100th person milestone mark. Planet jumping is becoming a reality as the colonists on the moon create the moon’s first spacecraft and launch it into space!

2059- Sahara Emerges: Farming hits a new milestone after the replication process was sold into mass production the farmers have used a chemical formula mixed with the replication process to grow green grass in the desert without any need for seeds, water, or proper soil. Sahara is now a booming industrial multicultural city.

Hey man that is your belief, you don't have to criticize my imagination. As far as I can tell some of my predictions are pretty close to FutureTime's maybe ten years give or take.

I don't understand why you have to be so critical of a fictional timeline that may or may not happen. Well some people think that a zombie Apocalypse is just around the corner, and whatever happens in 2012 will kill us all. This is no different from FutureTimeline or any one of those ideas because they all can happen in a fictional future timeline!

Ever hear of good sci-fi fun? Geez people here are too serious!

Future Timeline isn't supposed to be fictional! It's about futurism. You know, accurately predicting the future based on what we can see today?

There is a fundamental difference between believing in claims supported by evidence because it's objective and religiously believing in claims that have no evidence (or, as with many of your predictions, have a lot of evidence that directly contradicts the claim) because of emotion. And you don't seem to get that there is a really big difference. Future Timeline cites its sources. It isn't from the imagination.

Nobody can predict the future! Not even Future Timeline. FutureTimeline is not the fundamental roadmap to the future a lot can happen!!!! No I don't see a difference between this fictional timeline and futuretimeline they both can be horribly wrong. Just because I didn't cite everything that I posted doesn't mean it can't happen, and just because Future Timeline does cite everything on their website it doesn't mean that it WILL happen!!!!! Future Timeline isn't all FACTS although there are some great articles on their talking about where the world COULD go, but that's all it is! I don't see a lot of evidence disputing any of my claims??? Unless if there is some conspiracy on this site to make sure nobody agrees with anything I say because I don't believe in man-made global warming as I don't believe in man-made religions hmmmmmm.... Futurism is a great field and I am very interested in it. I am insulted that you think I know nothing about it!!!!! The Future is what you make of it, right? Anything is possible! That's what futurists always say, but then they see something so "crazy" to them, that they can't believe somebody would think that crazy about things. What???? This is the future we're talking about here!!!!! Instead of saying no impossible, you should be saying yes! We might be able to do some of the things you say, just like in Futuretimeline we won't be able to do all the things there. You might think it's laughable but at least my ideal future is fun and relatable to the world around us now, with familiar companies and upcoming concepts mixed with scifi. Whereas some of the ideas I've heard on here makes me laugh at the thought of where people think our world will go. (EX. The Impossible Venus Project) If you don't like Sci-fi. What are you doing on here?
