A.i and robotics are happening. That is just the way it is. China and any nation that cares about their power and place in this world will be making millions of them. I feel that sam is better then most and probably better then elon to move our leadership in a.i forward within a pro human way that has some sanity or gives a damn.(
What is your point? You don't want kids to use it? Well, that is taking away one of the most powerful tools allowing for them to advance in life. You don't think the military should be using it? Well, have fun fighting millions of chinese robots in the streets here in America. No military planner that is serious about winning wars will take such a suggestion seriously because it is for failure in our defense(hint: no a.i = using Lee's or Grants cavalry in the 21st century against modern a.i weapons) . I do demand from any sane leadership we have a kill switch in every fucking one.
The best we're going to be able to do is to have the right president(someone like Biden or similar) that understands that we need a.i+robotics but also
has humanity. The main point of ethics in my mind is the respect for life not to be an idiot. That is the problem with trump, russia and israel. They don't give a damn.
It isn't about rather we have killer robots. We sure as f*ck will. It isn't about rather 90% of the economy is ran by a.i robotics. It will. The left should embrace this and demand a basic income for all if they gave a single f*ck about anything they ever said about providing for the people in the mindset of FDR. Here is the tools and now who has the balls to demand the use of said tools? If not then people will suffer and the political fall out will probably lead to the end of America being a world power at all levels higher then Somalia or maybe Georgia. We won't matter. We will be a satellite of countries that do(aka China) if we do that and we will never compete again until we're forced to readopt a.i. That is the truth of the world we're heading into.
We won't compete economically without robotics and a.i. We won't compete against countries that do have a.i. That is a fact. A.i is going to become nearly impossible to do otherwise within the next 20 years once Elon starts pumping out his bots. We sure as f*ck won't compete in defense or in any other way. A.i my friend is one of the 4 top epoches in human history...1. fire, 2. agriculture, 3. "dumb" machines(industrial revolution) and 4. a.i. None of these will be easily defeated.
