COVID Autopsies Reveal The Virus Spreading Through The 'Entire Body'
by Carly Cassela
January 9, 2023

Introduction:
(Science Alert) COVID-19 is defined as a respiratory infection, but the effects of the novel coronavirus are certainly not confined to any one organ.

Dozens of recent autopsies show persistent evidence of SARS-CoV-2 throughout the body, including in the lungs, the heart, the spleen, the kidneys, the liver, the colon, the thorax, muscles, nerves, the reproductive tract, the eye, and the brain.

In one particular autopsy, remnants of the novel coronavirus were found in the brain of a deceased patient 230 days after they first started showing symptoms.

"Our data indicate that in some patients SARS-CoV-2 can cause systemic infection and persist in the body for months," conclude the authors of the study, led by researchers at the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH).

In the past, autopsies on those who have contracted COVID-19 have shown preliminary signs of multi-organ spread, with genetic remnants of the virus showing up in a myriad of tissues, organs, and fluids.

BBC criticised for letting cardiologist ‘hijack’ interview with false Covid jab claim

Fri 13 Jan 2023 17.50 GMT

The BBC has come under fire from scientists for interviewing a cardiologist who claimed certain Covid vaccines could be behind excess deaths from coronary artery disease.

Experts have criticised Dr Aseem Malhotra’s appearance on the corporation’s news channel on Friday, accusing him of pushing “extreme fringe” views, which are “misguided”, “dangerous” and could mislead the public.

Scientists have described the doctor as “hijacking” an interview on statins to air his views, causing BBC staff to be “alarmed and embarrassed” by their booking. Malhotra recently retweeted a video by the MP Andrew Bridgen, who had the Tory whip removed on Wednesday after comparing the use of Covid vaccines to the Holocaust.

After criticising new guidance on statins, he cited British Heart Foundation (BHF) figures that suggested there had been more than 30,000 excess deaths linked to heart disease since Covid first arrived.

Malhotra, a cardiologist at ROC Private Clinic, claimed mRNA Covid vaccines play a role, saying his “own research” showed “Covid mRNA vaccines do carry a cardiovascular risk”. He added that he has called for the vaccine rollout to be suspended pending an inquiry because of the “uncertainty” behind excess deaths.

China reports 60,000 COVID-related deaths, says peak passed
Source: AP

By JOE McDONALD today

BEIJING (AP) — China on Saturday reported nearly 60,000 deaths in people who had COVID-19 since early December following complaints it was failing to release data, and said the “emergency peak” of its latest surge appears to have passed.

The toll included 5,503 deaths due to respiratory failure caused by COVID-19 and 54,435 fatalities from other ailments combined with COVID-19 since Dec. 8, the National Health Commission announced. It said those “deaths related to COVID” occurred in hospitals, which left open the possibility more people also might have died at home.

The report would more than double China’s official COVID-19 death toll to 10,775 since the disease was first detected in the central city of Wuhan in late 2019.

China stopped reporting data on COVID-19 deaths and infections after abruptly lifting anti-virus controls in early December despite a surge in infections that began in October and has filled hospitals with feverish, wheezing patients.

This might explain the reports about children getting strep throats.

Antiviral Compound Could be Broadly Efficient in the Treatment of SARS-CoV-2
January 20, 2023

Introduction:
(Medical Xpress) A new study led by Gonçalo Bernardes, group leader at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular João Lobo Antunes (iMM; Portugal) and Professor at the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK), published recently in the journal ACS Central Science, reports the discovery of a compound efficient in the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 that could be broadly applied to treat different variants of the virus.

The researchers discovered that the compound piperlongumine (PL), extracted from the long pepper, the natural ingredient used most extensively in Indian medical systems, has a potent antiviral effect in the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 in mice.

"We found that PL delays disease progression and reduces lung inflammation in a mouse model mimicking SARS-CoV-2 infection," says Gonçalo Bernardes, leader of the study.

"The action of this compound in the organism, which was previously studied in the treatment of cancer, is the induction of a stress response in the host cells. In our work, we saw that this stress response is selective for infected cells. This is quite advantageous because PL acts on the cells infected by the virus and not on the virus itself, making it a potential antiviral treatment that can be efficient in upcoming variants of SARS-CoV-2 or even different viruses, to fight future outbreaks," continues Bernardes.

The researchers tested PL treatment in mice infected with alpha, delta and omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2 and the treatment is efficient in decreasing the amount of virus in the three different variants.

For someone who is leading very transformative companies (Tesla, Boring, SpaceX, Neuralink, etc.), Elon is pretty dumb. :?

He's not even trying to actively correct the incredible amount of misinformation that is propagating in the same thread. You can sense he's actually trying to lead them on without seemingly going against the Covid vaccine. He's hedging for Twitter's bottom line. :x

Covid Outbreak Has Infected 80% Of China's Population, Says Country's Chief Epidemiologist
Source: Benzinga

China's National Health Commission (NHC) has reported that nearly 60,000 people have died of Covid since the country abandoned its zero-Covid policy in early December.

A prominent government scientist now says that the possibility of a Covid-19 rebound in China over the next two or three months is remote, as 80% of people have been infected.

Chinese officials worry that the increase in travel related to the Lunar New Year celebration may bring a surge in Covid cases. Still, the chief epidemiologist at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Wu Zunyou, said that a second Covid wave is unlikely in the near term, reports Reuters.

A National Health Commission official said that China has passed the peak of Covid patients in fever clinics, emergency rooms, and with critical conditions.
